Senior Software Development Engineer

Business Intelligence and Engineering teams requires a knowledgeable agile practitioner and developer to support our UI product development, evolution, and maintenance. Contributing to the Agency and Demand 360+ solutions suite.

Summary of the role:

You will be working collaboratively with team members in agile building production scale components based on the platform tech stack integrating or migrating new or existing components, contribute and collaborate in design production grade based on React, NodeJS and Python.

In this role you'll:

• Partnering with Business Analysts, Quality assurance members to scope functionality required to meet business requirements.

• Solution design and building components

• Interacting with other team members during solution reviews and process refinement initiatives.

• Perform contributions to the SLDC to increase quality, code coverage, reduce technical debt.

• Execute performance and stress testing

• Support production in a rotational basis (planned)

About the ideal candidate:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or related

• 3+ years of experience in software development experience

Technical Competencies:

• Good grasp of data modelling

• Unix and shell scripting is a must

• Data Visualization experience (Highcharts, DeckGL, etc).

• Experience developing solutions for deployment within Docker containers and Kubernetes.

• Developing new user-facing features using React.js. Experience in developing full stack solutions using NodeJS

• Python or strong scripting is a must

• Experience with React and GraphQL/Apollo middleware including state management techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with building end to end (full stack), back end (DB) and hands on knowledge for end-to-end design and development

• Strong SQL skills is preferred

• Docker/Kubernetes/Helm. GIT. Working experience on CI/CD using Jenkins.

• Experience working with database systems. Experience working with Kubernetes, docker, helm.

• Knowledge of BI industry and hospitality is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong communication skills of UI/UX design concepts to translate to reusable assets. Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use. Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code. Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.

• Work with product team and graphic designers. Learn and understand user interactions.
