Senior Software Developer

Overview

Massage Envy is looking to hire a Senior Software Developer to join a small, dedicated IT team with the opportunity to build high quality and innovative solutions in a fast-paced franchise organization. Your responsibilities will include recommending and implementing improvements to drive innovation in support of transformational business change aligning with company strategic goals and objectives. The scope of these responsibilities will include both internal and customer facing applications.

Essential Functions

• Development and maintenance of new and existing applications

• Responsible for managing technical development of software from inception through user acceptance

• Assist in documenting SDLC process, inclusive of coding standards

• Troubleshoot production incidents, including identification/implementation of performance tuning

• Work with onsite/remote development teams, as well as various 3rd party vendors

• Collaborate with the IT team to formulate solutions to business problems

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent

• 7-10 years of experience in developing software or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Must have Proficiency in C#, using .Net 6 or later, Windows Services

• Experience in T-SQL

• Experience with REST/SOAP API, multithreading and/or actor model (AKKA.Net)

• Proficiency in NoSQL concepts, specifically MongoDB using C#. Experience with Compass a plus

• Proficiency in Visual Studio, SQL Management Studio and Azure Dev Ops

• Experience working in/with accounting/finance functions and systems is very helpful

• Experience with Cloud Services (Azure, AWS) and token-based authentication systems

• Strong grasp of object-oriented design principles

• Strong analytical thinking, organizational and problem solving skills

• Independent thinker with creative, resourceful, and proactive problem solving skills

• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences

• Excellent design skills

• Retail and/or franchising experience a plus
