Job Description:

We're looking for a senior software architect whose mission will be designing the next generation of our software architecture. You'll ensure that our products can scale with our customer base and that each new system we design will use the right technologies and follow best practices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, or similar degree

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in software development

  • Mastery in designing high volume, business critical production systems at scale

  • Experience designing for fault tolerance, reliability, security, performance, and cost optimization

  • Expertise working with large scale, high availability software systems running in the public cloud (preferably AWS)

  • Professional experience working with a large scale RDBMS, like SQL Server.

  • Understanding of scalable data storage strategies.

  • Extensive previous experience as a software engineer, building systems with programming languages like C++, C#, Python, and SQL.

Your Role:

  • Work closely with development team members, project leads and project stakeholders while using your technical expertise to design software architectures for robust and sustainable products

  • Lead technical roadmaps, design, and implementation across multiple teams of engineers

  • Create proposals and action plans to garner support across the organization

  • Facilitate design and implementation review sessions

Required Skills/Experience: * Windows developer with 4+ years of experience building high-performance client/server and web applications. * Network programming with TCP/IP sockets. Knowledge of transactions, ACID compliance, and data normalization. * Experience with multi-process, multithreaded development in a Windows environment. Experience with the .NET Framework and technologies such as, UWP, XAML, WPF and Win32 API, and MSMQ. Desired Skills/Experience * Experience with PowerShell is a plus. * Experience porting .NET applications to .NET Core is a plus. * Experience in migrating legacy physical systems to the Amazon Cloud (AWS) is desirable. * Experience with current development technologies, methodologies and workflows including CI/CD, Agile development (Scrum), Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Terraform, BDD, Docker and microservices. * Experienced developing secure applications (OWASP Top 10). * Strong Object Oriented Design and Programming skills, hands-on application troubleshooting and debugging skills, including using tools such as, Visual Studio debugger and Windows Event Viewer. * Experience with JSON and XML data interchange formats. XSL and XSLT are a plus. * Experience with administering and deploying web applications to IIS. * Experience with Log4Net. * Experience with developing and deploying and configuring Windows Services and WCF Services.
