A hands-on Technical Architecture Lead who combines deep technical knowledge with organizational influence and skills to ensure that the technical architecture is sound and utilizes best-in-class practices. As a results-driven leader who can collaborate with the different teams, you drive development of technical expertise, quality, and consistency across the technical architecture practice.
Advise teams on technical direction, ensuring consistency with cloud architecture standards
Conduct architecture reviews and the use of cloud (AWS) resources across Pitney Bowes Commerce Services
Proactively work with teams on questions of technical architectural direction
Collaborate with other architecture team members and engineering leaders to create a set of common production-readiness standards and design principles
Guide architectural direction to ensure consistent with current, accepted practices in our industry
Communicate/Educate teams about new technology and practices
Work with product managers and engineers to produce and maintain documentation, including: Functional specifications, Design summaries, Integration specifications, Platform documentation and release whitepapers
As a Senior Cloud/System Architect, you have:
15 years of working experience as a practicing architect and / or lead engineer
Proven ability to work autonomously to drive results in a complex environment
Proven ability to stay up-to-speed on current trends in enterprise-scale cloud development
Lead Architect on large-scale software implementations
Working experience in modern enterprise architecture and database technologies
Experience with microservce design, development and support examples include .NET Core, Java, Kafka, Docker, Kubernettes, Mongo DB, SumoLogic, etc.
Experience with relevant AWS / cloud technologies
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science degree or related field
