Kyriba is seeking a talented Senior Software Architect to join our team of more than 100 engineers working together to bring innovative solutions to Kyriba clients around the globe. We are a team of passionate people motivated by agility, innovation and continuous improvement.
As a member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for architecting Kyriba's industry-leading leading financial technology products, including payments, risk management, business intelligence and fraud prevention. Success in this position requires a team player with strong technical acumen and solid understanding of the best practices in software development, distributed systems and large-scale SaaS environment. He or she will be working in tight collaboration with engineering and product managers, who works actively within an agile methodology. Ideal candidate is a passionate and curious about the latest technologies individual who embraces working in a multicultural and international environment
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Advising on technology choices by analyzing business cases, industry best practices and prior experience.
Provide thought leadership and technology vision, as well as pragmatic tactical approach.
Part of Kyriba technical leadership team responsible to drive the change management process.
Coaching and advising developers and engineering managers.
Active in a continuous improvement of the existing process, methodologies, technologies and practices.
Effectively working with team members across multiple geographies.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
Solid track record of technical leadership and building world-class teams.
Experience scaling large enterprise application scale and avoiding caveats (network latency, network partitioning, wrong sharding, bad caching strategy, bad transactional strategies, poor security, etc.).
Team player. S(he) should be able to communicate, coach and train developers.
Strong hands-on development experience writing production code.
Must handle huge volume of legacy code and know the refactoring patterns in order to cut into the monolith. Obviously (s)he must be able to lead POC and write clean code too with a "by example" attitude.
Core technologies : Java 11, JPA, Spring, Docker.
Good knowledge of distributed architectures with at least one experience in this environment ("microservices type" architecture). (Spring Cloud, Spring Boot, Datastax, etc.).
Understanding of distributed caches (Hazelcast, Apache Ignite, Infinispan, etc.) and data management (clustered database & big volume).
Good knowledge of performance management on distributed systems.
Scalability is key (Kubernetes, Docker, Mesos, etc.).
Monitoring / logging (NewRelic, Kafka, ELK, etc.).
Deployment / Zero downtime (AWS EC2, Docker, Chef, Puppet, etc.).
You are not afraid of understanding and refactoring legacy code.
Solution-oriented, constructive and team player.
Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
