Senior Smart Manufacturing Consultant

Job description

Infosys is seeking a Senior Smart Manufacturing Consulting . In this role, you will lead and manage projects that drive the adoption of smart manufacturing practices. You will work closely with clients to understand their unique challenges and design customized solutions that leverage the latest technologies and methodologies. You will work closely with our implementation teams to create proposals to meet the clients needs. The ability to create thought leadership in this role to educate customers on the art of the possible is key to the role.

Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Houston, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US.

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

• At least 10 years of Information Technology experience

• Experience with Smart Manufacturing

Preferred Qualification :

• Act globally as Smart Manufacturing Expert

• Collaborate with clients to assess their current manufacturing processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategic plans for implementing smart manufacturing solutions.

• Advise clients on the selection and integration of advanced manufacturing technologies, such as IoT, AI, machine learning, and automation systems.

• Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity. Implement data-driven decision-making practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Provide training and support to client teams on new technologies and processes. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients. Act as a trusted advisor and ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and solution delivery.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on Smart Manufacturing best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends.

• Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to gather requirements, identify opportunities, and address challenges.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.

• Partner with Engineering teams to evaluate, select, and implement Smart Manufacturing solutions that meet the needs of the business.

• Strong understanding of smart manufacturing technologies, including IoT, AI, machine learning, robotics, and data analytics. Proficiency in relevant software and tools.

• Familiarity and experience with Manufacturing Plant Floor Systems including, MES, HMI/SCADA, CMMS, WMS. Also integration with Business level systems such as ERP and PLM.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

• Strong leadership and team collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and clients.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
