We are currently seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our Emerging Technologies infrastructure team. In this role you will be supporting our Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) products. This position will give you the opportunity to challenge yourself as we rapidly scale our business and grow our global platform across over 150 data centers around the world.

  • Design and deploy our customer facing Linux and BSD based systems infrastructure

  • Create and deploy scalable systems and monitoring for massively growing global infrastructure

  • Implement automation for management of the cloud

  • Contribute to OS packaging and distribution

  • Develop, augment and maintain Ops documentation

  • Resolve NOC escalations and help prevent reiteration of incidents creating NOC processes, procedures and automation.

  • Linux/UNIX system engineering (create and maintain highly scalable solutions

  • BS Degree and 7+ years' experience in a Linux / UNIX System Administration / SysAdmin role

  • Comfort and experience with Ops environment growing at a rapid scale

  • Strong Linux / UNIX skills, BSD specific experience is a plus

  • Excellent scripting skills and experience (shell, bash, python, perl) (Python preferred)

  • Experience maintaining and deploying systems and software in diverse environments

  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot systems performance

  • Solid Networking skills at layer 3 and above

  • Some travel is required

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar discipline with MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering preferred

We are currently looking for exceptional software and hardware talent to join our Samsung Austin R & D Center (SARC) in Austin, TX and our Advanced Computing Lab (ACL) in San Jose, CA. SARC was established in Austin, TX in 2010 to be one of Samsung's strategic investments in high performance low power ARM based device technology. Presently our GPU design teams, located in Austin (SARC) and San Jose (ACL), are developing a GPU that will be deployed in Samsung mobile products. Our System IP team located in Austin (SARC) is working on Coherent Interconnect and memory controller architectures. Role and Responsibilities As a Site Reliability Engineer you will be a highly experienced, skilled, and driven engineer with a strong understanding of the CI/CD lifecycle, cloud native technology, and legacy software systems. You have likely been an application Software Engineer in the past and have gained a deep understanding of infrastructure and operations, or have been a Systems Administrator with extensive experience across technologies who has spent the last few years learning modern automation and cloud native infrastructure skills. You must enjoy working alongside solution owners, systems architects and software engineers to maintain and improve a highly available, highly-scalable IT infrastructure platforms. You must be able to troubleshoot production issues, implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines), collaborate with team members to improve the existing and develop new engineering tools, optimize company's computing architecture, manage infrastructure, and design and conduct security, performance, and availability tests. You will report to the Enterprise IT Senior Manager and work in close collaboration with Networking, Data Services, Engineering (CAE), and InfoSec. Key responsibilities include: * Running a production system at a significant level of scale, with a number of modern distributed systems technologies * Developing deployment strategies and building configuration management (CI/CD pipelines - design & implementation) including infrastructure as code * Working closely with the architecture, product development and services teams.
