Collins Aerospace is looking for an Senior Shipping & Receiving Analyst to work in the Chula Vista Distribution Center's Traffic and Inventory Department. You will interface with internal customers, various internal customers, freight forwarders, International Trade Compliance, and Spares leadership. You will interpret shipping documents with the goal of determining carrier, service level and delivery needs in an economical fashion. You will also research inventory differences, analyze inventory data, assist with inventory accuracy, transaction, and internal customer requests. In addition, you will be responsible for continuous improvement in the area, and help development and use of ACE, CORE and Lean Manufacturing tools to best support our customers.

This position works onsite in Chula Vista, CA.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintains effective communications with customers and field team members to better understand support requirements.

  • Process documents at high speed and error free within a high-volume, high-paced work environment

  • Contacts internal customers frequently requiring a high degree of tact and courtesy to maintain and build good rapport.

  • Follow all Export regulations as they relate to AES filing as needed.

  • Troubleshoots technical problems as it relates to inventory control and accuracy.

  • Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications.

  • Close coordination with the purchasing associate regarding the return and / or replacement of defective or wrong deliveries.

  • Participate in company programs such as 5s and complies with safety regulations and quality management systems.

  • Inventory analysis, planning, and management.

  • Ensure proper implementation of good warehousing procedures in recording, storage, and inventory control.

  • Issue of parts and material to Work Orders

  • Performs inventory cycle counts, maintains control and accounts for all stock on hand. Management of excess stock physically

  • Manages statement of work to meet customer and contract requirements.

  • Additional responsibilities will include leading or supporting both long term strategies and short-term goals relating to inventory management and optimization.

  • Inventory analysis, planning, and management.

  • Drive continuous improvement and ensure service level and inventory targets are met.

  • Support the development of inventory strategies and plans per the inventory goals and objective.

  • Help drive Cycle Time reduction efforts

  • Lead various Sales, Inventory, Operations, and Planning processes and requests, as needed.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports related to inventory and capacity or other associated reports to track and manage performance.

  • Able to travel up to 5% domestically and internationally

Qualifications/ Experience Needed

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

  • Inventory/Warehouse experience

  • General knowledge of inventory management i.e., cycle counting, inventory reconciliations, receiving/storing of finished products etc.

  • ERP experience

  • Continuous Improvement Tool experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Able to communicate and make presentations to senior level leadership

  • Experience with MS PowerPoint creating presentations

  • Previous warehouse experience

  • Aerospace Industry experience

  • SAP experience

  • Lean, Six Sigma or ACE

  • Knowledge of shipping software

The salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 142,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
