Senior Services Supervisor

Description

The purpose of this class is to manage the programming and operations of Senior Community Centers that provide transportation and meals.

Job Responsibilities

Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, processing employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, disciplining, and completing employee performance appraisals.

Coordinates, assigns and reviews work and establishes work schedules; maintains standards; monitors status of work in progress; inspects completed work assignments; answers questions; gives advice and direction as needed.

Coordinates drivers and center managers to ensure the availability of coverage.

Assists the Programs Manager with purchase orders, payroll, and budget management.

Serves as the emergency management designee for senior services.

Oversees the delivery of meals, daily meal orders, and telephone reassurance calls.

Documents client paperwork; follows all required policies, procedures, and grant handbooks.

Receives program referrals and general inquiries.

Documents meal orders through the use of service logs.

Resolves client complaints.

Coordinates vehicle maintenance and repair for divisions fleet inventory.

Trains staff on County and grant guidelines.

Processes work orders from recreation specialists.

Performs related work as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires Bachelor's degree.

Requires four years of experience in providing or programming social services, parks and recreation programs, office administration or closely related experience.
