Responsible for installing, diagnosing, maintaining and servicing computer-related products, including but not limited to POS devices, scanners, printers, desktop & laptop computers, network devices, and standard software at retail customer sites. Assignments range in complexity from troubleshooting and repair, to more difficult device repair, including reloading and re-imaging of PC's/laptops, and installing and optimizing hardware / software networking products. Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventative maintenance and configurations which may impact product performance. Takes responsibility for potential or desired follow-up services or problem escalation. Day to Day Work * Provides software, hardware and networking support for POS devices, scanners, printers, desktops, and laptops * Troubleshooting and repair of hardware and software issues to maintain business continuity * New hardware upgrades; installs, moves, adds, changes in a retail environment * Optimizing hardware/software/networking products and configurations as scripted ensuring customer satisfaction. Technical and Behavioral Skills * High School diploma or GED required * Background investigation and drug screen required * 3 or more years of experience in a hands-on desk side support for field service role required. Prior experience in a retail environment strongly desired. * Proficient with POS, scanner, printer and PC hardware repair and can troubleshoot/resolve software and operating system issues. * Networking experience with Cisco or telecommunications * Knowledge of latest Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office software required * Must have valid driver's license with reliable vehicle and appropriate insurance (required) * Excellent communication and customer service skills required. * A+, Lenovo, Dell and HP certifications a plus * Must be available for after-hours on-call rotation * Must be available for varying shifts on a rotating basis.
