We seek a visionary, hands-on Senior SEO Strategist to shape our SEO practice. This is not just about rankings-it's about owning the future of discoverability, redefining what search looks like in an AI-first world, and ensuring our brands dominate organic visibility across every consumer touchpoint.

This role is ideal for someone who has mastered SEO fundamentals but is eager to push boundaries, use SEO to drive real growth, experiment with AI-driven search, and develop strategies that future-proof our brands against algorithmic shifts.

This position is based in Los Angeles, CA. We work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.

Job Description

• Lead Search Everywhere Optimization (SEOx): Develop an SEO strategy that extends beyond Google, ensuring our brands win on search engines, social media, voice search, generative AI search results, and emerging discovery platforms.
• Build and Own the SEO Practice: Establish SEO as a strategic pillar at Wonderful Agency, integrating search insights across creative, content, PR, and media teams.
• Content & Authority Strategy: Lead the development of high-performing, intent-driven content strategies that build brand authority, attract organic traffic, and convert visitors into customers
• Innovate in AI-Driven Search: Adapt to the evolving nature of search with zero-click results, AI-generated answers and new ranking factors
• Technical SEO Excellence: Work with our technical SEO and development team to drive best-in-class technical SEO, structured data, Core Web Vitals optimization, and site architecture improvements to enhance crawlability and indexation.
• Data-Driven Insights & Leadership: Leverage GA4, Search Console and SEMrush to track performance, identify new opportunities, and forecast trends.

Qualifications

• A proven SEO strategist with 5+ years of experience in growth driving SEO.
• A strategist who thinks beyond keywords-you understand intent and how search behavior is evolving across platforms.
• Comfortable working in DTC and multi-brand environments.
• Experienced with AI in search, including generative AI, zero-click searches, and conversational commerce.
• Deep experience in advanced SEO tools (Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.).
• A collaborative, hands-on strategist who can influence cross-functional teams and champion SEO as a business driver.

Pay Range: $100,000 - $120,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
