Security Operations engineers use pragmatic, empathetic, and timely approach to build actionable dashboards and alerts. As a Senior Security Operations Engineer, you deeply understand the infrastructure technology stack used at Addepar; you aim to identify and eliminate security vulnerabilities proactively. Your focus is forward-facing, building dashboards, metrics, tools, and services that ensure the safety of the Addepar corporate and production infrastructure and its valued client data. You will lead within the Information Security team by scoping and delivering tooling, services, and SLAs while mentoring your teammates to ensure they are delivering in line with our team culture and practices.

The Security Operations team works on the following:

  • Build, improve and contribute toward Information Security's mission and long-term goals

  • Build and improve the Information Security incident response and forensics tooling and processes in partnership with GRC team

  • Build and nurture security intelligence connections to protect client and employee data in partnership with the Product and Application Security team

  • Monitor and investigate security events

  • Build and improve the security postures in identifying security vulnerabilities

  • Act as the technical leader and mentor within Information Security and Engineering teams


  • 5+ years of relevant work experience on an internal security team, working on defensive sides of security, security operations center or security engineering

  • Possess an in-depth understanding of information security first principles and defense-in-depth techniques

  • Experience in building and maintaining tooling and processes in incident response, forensics, intrusion detection, and threat intelligence

  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively partner cross-functionally across the company to help influence the culture of security and practices

  • Build and analyze data to identify the signal from noise to build high fidelity dashboards and alerts

  • Experience in building and deploying Security Event Information Management and security monitoring systems

This position is expected to perform work as an individual contributor who performs HVAC system diagnostics and repairs, and can also service duties associated with engineering, electrical, plumbing, repairs, and general maintenance in support of the facility. Job Description RESPONSIBILITIES * Initiates or responds to work orders, assigns to staff or vendors as applicable, follows-up and verifies completion of work, and works with Managers to coordinate service interruptions * Provides coaching to junior positions in technical and soft skill practices. * Monitor performance and note deficiencies of service contractors and recommend changes as necessary * Consult with Operations Center on maintenance, operation, and repair of HVAC equipment and systems, boiler and machinery, energy systems, roofs, and other building systems such as Fire/Life safety * Support the proper performance of preventive maintenance inspections/repairs as directed and as mandated by local municipalities and building/client requirements. * Assist with monthly or periodic inspections of building systems, i.e., HVAC, electrical distribution, structural, vertical transportation, Water treatment, UPS and PDU systems, EPG operation, BMS, HVAC controls and Plumbing Systems. Assist with preparing detailed report of exceptions and recommend corrective action * Help to maintain compliance with building regulations and permits (equipment use, Certificate of Occupancy, etc.). As directed, correct violations requiring plumbing repairs. File with appropriate agencies * Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management * Aide in developing capital improvement plan and subsequently maintain the data. Duties include, but aren't limited to, field surveying buildings and equipment to identify status and estimated life expectancy. Follow up inspections will occur as the systems identifies potential equipment for replacement. REQUIREMENTS * A four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, 5 years of direct experience and completion of certified Technical School or training center, relating to HVAC design and maintenance. * A minimum of 5 years of experience directly related to the operation, installation and maintenance of building systems with in-depth technical understanding and knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and control systems. Experience may be concurrent * Working knowledge of all aspects of building systems and operations, contractual maintenance, construction and related services, and local laws and building codes pertaining to building operations and safety * Good communication and organizational skills, ability to analyze and solve problems, capable of functioning well under stress and during emergencies, strong interpersonal and negotiation skills * Proven ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously * Ability to lead engineers, determine priorities, assign and delegate work and responsibility * PC literacy is helpful especially knowledge of spreadsheet, database, and scheduling programs * Understanding of project management, preventative maintenance, inventory control, supplier systems, environmental/sustainability software and programs is a plus * Practice with ALC BMS systems is a positive attribute * Current Driver's License. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Ability to stoop, stand, climb, frequently lift a minimum of 50 lbs. of equipment (pumps, tools, ladders) and safely install rigging/lifting devices * Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine * Involves movement between departments, floors, and properties to facilitate work * Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you * Ability to read and understand information presented orally and in writing * Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, drawings and schematics Cushman & Wakefield provides equal employment opportunity.
