Summary:
The Senior Security Manager is responsible for development of Security SOP's, assisting the government with physical security inspections, maintaining accreditation for facilities and systems, developing procedures to track assets and implement access controls. In addition, the Senior Security Manager will provide expertise in development of disaster recovery procedures and continuity of operations plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews USARCC-C and Army security (access, facility and personnel) policies and instructions to ensure processes are efficient and meet the Army's USARCC-C security mission intent

  • Provides organizational security best practices for validating, prioritizing, and delivering valid security processes and methodology through the development of ITIL based Security Standard Operating Procedures, Tactics, Techniques and Procedures, Enterprise Security Plans.

  • Ensures security DoD business best practices are implemented and are compliant with DoD and Army regulations and policies

  • Works independently as the security manager. Works with all Senior technical staff and assigned security teams members to ensure security business best practices are implemented into day-to-day USARCC-C internal and external support. Sets security related priorities and organizes security work to meet Army and USARCC-C customer deadlines

  • Responsible for all activities relating to information assurance procedures and systems.

  • Develops information systems assurance programs and control guidelines.

  • Confers with and advises subordinates on administrative policies and procedures and resolving technical problems, priorities, and methods.

  • Consults with and advises other sections regarding internal controls and security procedures.

  • Prepares activity and progress reports relating to the information systems audit function.

  • Provides Service Level Management process training and coaching as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • High School Diploma and 12 years' experience; OR Associate's Degree and 10 years' experience; OR Bachelor's Degree and 8 years' experience

  • IT Level I; IAT II; ITIL Foundations certified (within 3 months) certification required

  • iWATCH; AR 25-2 - IA Awareness; AT Level I; Level I OPSEC; CUI; ALMS Security; AHIMA HIPAA Privacy and Security training required

  • Top Secret / SCI clearance required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Leadership and self-direction skills are highly desired.

Ability to solve complex problems utilizing creative thinking skills.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Ability to critically analyze and understand the systems and communicate system requirements to the customer and leadership.

  • Ability to provide on-call support 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

  • Ability to travel as required.

  • Ability to meet eligibility requirements of a government security clearance for access to classified information

  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.

  • During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
