Cognizant is a global information technology (IT) consulting company. As Cognizant continues to expand its industry footprint, it seeks to hire an Information Security Senior Analyst to help the Company maintain a top-tier global information security program. The Information Security Senior Analyst will play a pivotal role as a subject-matter expert within Cognizant's Corporate Security (CS) Global Investigations Team. The Analyst will have a diverse portfolio, including security incident response, proactive data analysis, investigations, policy drafting and research.

The ideal candidate will have a unique combination of technical and professional skills. The candidate must be able to work collaboratively with investigators and other analysts to gather, interpret, analyze, and evaluate data to identify improper use of intellectual property and/or proprietary information. The candidate will be required to summarize findings for investigators, senior management, other internal stakeholders, or external law enforcement. The candidate will be required to learn various business operations to ensure compliance with information security policies, best practices and recommendations. The candidate will assist in defining appropriate changes to internal policies, processes, and work instructions.

The Information Security Analyst will report directly to the Associate Vice-President (AVP) of Corporate Security Global Investigations, and may interact with a wide variety of stakeholders, including other Information Security Analysts, investigators, Legal, and business leaders.

Responsibilities

The CS Information Security Senior Analyst's primary responsibilities will include:

  • Detect and investigate anomalous behavior that may indicate threats to Intellectual Property assets.

  • Provide forensic analysis support to other internal teams in relation to incidents and investigations.

  • Prepare thorough written summaries of incidents that require further investigation.

  • Research present and future threats to intellectual property.

  • Develop specific expertise in areas such as Insider Threat models.

  • Apply highly developed inductive reasoning skills to provide a proactive approach to potential threats.

  • Review and analyze content monitoring system incidents to identify, prioritize and report issues.

  • Establish effective working relationships inside and outside the immediate team to facilitate information gathering and joint investigative efforts.

  • Maintain awareness of applicable laws and legislation, as well as a thorough knowledge of company policy and technical best practices.

  • Work with the AVP, CS Global Investigations to shape processes, policies and recommendations to reduce likelihood of incident recurrence.

  • Work with the AVP, CS Global Investigations to perform analytics work on root cause analysis to identify patterns.

  • Work in a team environment while maintaining confidentiality and operational security of investigations.

  • Research emerging technologies and maintain awareness of current security risks.

  • Study indicators of insider threat compromise and share learnings with the Corporate Security Team.
