This position will support all office functions and oversees the receptionist area of the Department of Statistics.
Oversee office operations, assuring the Statistics office is running efficiently. Greet and direct all visitors.
Screen and answer all incoming telephone calls and provide general Information
Receive, sort and distribute mail and packages
Pickup and deliver correspondence to dean's office and other areas on campus
Maintain the department email account by answering/forwarding inquiries to the appropriate areas/faculty
Receive incoming supplies and maintain office supply cabinets. Replenish/order supplies for department printers and copier.
Assist faculty, staff and students when using copier.
Initiate, coordinate and follow up on all department IT requests, telecom and work orders. To include, email and equipment setup
Manage Seminar Room calendar and ensure room is presentable
Initiate all print shop requests, to include exam copying, collating and numbering (as needed)
Proctor students as needed
Manage and post office hours for faculty
Send out email announcements to faculty and students regarding department events, job postings and miscellaneous information
Assist with colloquiums, symposiums, meetings and all department events by greeting, distributing program packets, creating table tents/name badges and mailing out parking passes and maps
Assist with projects using Excel, MS Word, Powerpoint and other programs
Assist administrative assistant, program assistant, and faculty as needed
A high school diploma and three years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. Attainment of a score of at least 35 cwpm on an approved typing test. If minimum requirements of the position do not require post high school education, an applicant is not required to provide the information on the application.

Strong organizational and communication skills.
Customer service or reception experience.
