Department Overview

Envysion, a Motorola Solutions company, is a leading provider of enterprise video security and business analytics solutions for the quick-service restaurant and retail industries. Envysion's cloud-based solution integrates video systems with sales data to proactively identify potentially fraudulent transactions and optimize operations without the need to monitor hours of video footage.

Job Description

We are seeking a creative Scrum Master to embed and work closely with three talented teams to solve real world problems as well as to further evangelize the role of a dedicated scrum master within our software development department. As a Scrum Master you will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Foster continuous improvement and coach scrum teams to a higher level of self-organizing maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.

  • Emphasize sprint goals and ensure they align with the priorities in the product backlog and active project milestones.

  • Leverage existing tools to find ways in effectively visualizing scrum teams' work and activity, as well as in providing insight towards sprint level and release level goals.

  • Working with other scrum masters, organize and cross-pollinate best practices between scrum teams in different product areas.

  • Assist in educating new hires about Agile concepts and processes around feature development.

  • Address and navigate conflict, with poise and fairness and know when to elevate issues outside the scrum team.

  • Facilitate decision-making moments, even during difficult times, and to summarize and communicate those decisions with rationale and assumptions to a wider audience.

  • Work with Project Managers, Product Managers, and Technical Leads to coordinate project and feature dependencies across scrums teams.

  • Maintain metrics that can help continuously improve and influence teams to own and use those metrics themselves.

  • Remove roadblocks to the teams and coach the team to remove roadblocks in a proactive and strategic manner.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree preferred.

  • Prior experience working with web development teams.

  • Strong communication, collaboration and facilitation skills.

  • Have a systems-thinking mindset to drive effective change across the organization.

  • Promote continuous improvement and learning with peers, teams and across the business.

  • Ability to engage, influence, and inspire others to adopt the agile mindset.

  • The target salary for this position is $95,000-$120,000 depending on experience.

  • Accepting applications between April 1st and June 30th, 2024.

  • This is a hybrid opportunity where you will be working out of our Westminster, CO office 2 times a month depending on the type of sprint or projects.
