Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $97,100.00 - $161,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

Serves as servant leader and coach for Agile teams. Facilitates team learning and growth and drives development of a Lean / Agile operating model. Works with teams to continuously productivity, predictability and transparency while providing guidance to help teams through Agile ceremonies, release planning and impediment removal. Coaches and provides guidance to help teams through Agile ceremonies, release planning and impediment removal. Fosters an inclusive culture, ensuring team members are fully engaged, understand and accept team and individual accountabilities and collaborate effectively in achievement of expected outcomes.

This Scrum Master might also have to help execute RTE responsibilities of Enterprise planning, Dependency Management, & Risk Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coaches assigned teams on adherence to Lean / Agile methodologies and cross-team planning and delivery processes.

  • Leads team efforts in relentless improvement, in part by teaching problem- solving techniques and helping improve self- reliance.

  • Works with teams/team members to foster a high- performance culture and an environment in which issues are effectively surfaced and resolved at the team level.

  • Monitors and tracks planning, completion and implementation metrics.

  • Provides data and informational updates to help all stakeholders track planning / implementation progress.

  • Summarizes team planning objectives, publishing and communicating for visibility and transparency.

  • Responsible for improving program increment (PI) planning and associated processes to develop and drive vision, roadmap, backlog and pre- and post- PI planning.

  • Facilitates periodic synchronization meetings, including delivery teams at the program level.

  • Ensures issued at a quality levels within team boards.

  • Assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency and sharing information.

  • Contributes to Lean/Agile Practice team knowledge sessions by presenting learning topics.

  • Defines, develops and recommends tool and process improvement methodologies.

  • Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques; ability to present information to individuals and groups with appropriate degree of formality. Organizes key points and supporting information for various topics as appropriate for an intended audience. Provides a suitable level of detail and uses accepted terminology; adapts various techniques for different audiences to ensure messages are received as intended.   • Possesses the knowledge and ability to apply effective analytical techniques and tools. Approaches situations by defining the issue, determining its significance and identifying the forces, events and people impacting and impacted by the situation at hand. Uses logic and intuition to make inferences about the meaning of data and arrive at conclusions, applying flow charts, diagrams and other tools as necessary. Able to systematically compare and assess varied alternative solutions.

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocations. Understands work and activity can be impacted by shifts in demands and priorities. Responds to day-to-day operational priorities while still making progress on project work. Addresses potential conflicts that impact delivery commitments, working with team members, management and other stakeholders to re-prioritize as necessary.

  • Knowledge of and ability to use, organizational methods, practices and tools for administering, facilitating and/or managing projects. Utilizes project administration and/or management tools for project-related time and resource estimation, dependency identification, conflict identification, task assignments, documentation and reporting. Documents project meetings, including status reports on deliverables and next steps. Develops cost-benefit analyses, tracking and reviewing actual versus planned costs. Ensures project-related problems are surfaced, documented and reported to appropriate project personnel and/or management.

  • Knowledge of technology and its ability to improve work processes and results (e.g., enhance productivity, efficiency, collaboration, quality, or customer satisfaction). Uses technology to solve work-related problems, find new methods to enhance results, and create new business opportunities. Pursues opportunities to develop knowledge and experiments with emerging technology solutions that can help accomplish work goals. Keeps others informed about technology innovations. Serves as a resource to help others understand and anticipate the impact of technology on current processes, products, and services.

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 16 years' experience in a related field

  • Working experience related industry

  • 5 - 8 years of working experience as a Scrum Master

  • Scrum Master certification or equivalent certified professional (Desired for lower level - required for higher)

  • Working experience in one or more of the following Agile methods or frameworks: Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP), or Kanban

  • Working experience with Agile scaling frameworks
