Our CLIENT is the leading supplier of solar energy to the oil and gas industry and they are looking for a Sr. Scheduler/ Planner. The Senior Planner / Scheduler is responsible for owning and maintaining an integrated, detailed Primavera P6 Master schedule for several major capital projects. This includes the planning, scheduling and reporting of a full value chain Master Integrated Schedule utilizing a centrally managed multi-project Oracle Primavera database. EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contract will dictate how the work is planned, executed and controlled.

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead planning and scheduling for mid-size projects ($100-$700 million), low to medium complexity, different phases
Act as SME (Subject Matter Expert) in scheduling of construction activities in Primavera P6
Works closely with EPC contractor to integrate construction schedule into Master schedule
Prepare deliverables to support phase-gate decisions, such as WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), (BOS) Basis of Schedule, Schedule Plan
Review, analyze and validate interface logic between contract schedules ensuring vertical and horizontal traceability
Develop planning tasks, durations, and logic. Ensure predecessor / successor relationships are reasonable
Proactively engages with disciplines and contractors to establish and control schedules through end of project
Identify & resolve issues between EPC partner and contractor schedules, develop tight internal controls as part of the plan
Validate integrated, detailed schedules from contractors to ensure alignment with project objectives
Generate schedule reports at different levels of granularity for a variety of audiences. Identify gaps against baseline and provide root-cause analysis of major drivers for these gaps.
Hold project team accountable for progress commitments. Influence others, not under your direct control, to drive for completion of tasks and attainment of project milestones.
Communicate proactively with project team, stakeholders and project leadership all issues and variances which may influence the project outcome. Ensure Change Management is adhered to by project team to quantify impact to schedule and cost. Lead the effort with project team to develop mitigation plans to stay on plan
Work with Project Controls Manager to ensure alignment of Forecast project Estimate At Completion (EAC) both in terms of time and cost.
Lead monthly process of Progress and Performance measurement based on EVM (Earned Value Method)
Collaborate with Project Controls Manager to develop and consistently utilize Project Controls processes, procedures and best practices
Participate in Project Assurance activities and assessments, such as (CSRA) Cost and Schedule Risk Assessment
Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement appropriate course of action
Organize and prioritize a variety of complex projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines
Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
Provide project planning input into proposals and bids as driven by Contract Manager
Adhere to and support Company's Health, Safety & Environmental Policies
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members and other project personnel

Accredited four (4) year degree in applicable field of study
Minimum ten (10) years of experience in planning and scheduling projects, preferably in Oil & Gas or Power generating industry.
Required expert-level knowledge and experience: Primavera P6: resource loaded, cost loaded, re-baselines, scope changeso Levels of CPM schedule: 1 to 5 versus Classes of Estimate: 1 to 5o planning and scheduling major EPC projects: Engineering design phaseso industrial construction: dynamic logic between contractors' scopes of worko WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) and CBS (Cost Breakdown Structure)o Variance analysis, reporting, precise attention to detailo Quality control of own work
