Senior SCCM Engineer

Wilmington, DE

CSC is looking for a SCCM Engineer with at least 5-8 years of relevant industry experience supporting a mid to large size Virtualization environment (5000+ clients) over a mutli-site/data center infrastructure.

As a SCCM Engineer you will be joining the Infrastructure Engineering team which is part of the CSC Infrastructure Services department. This group is responsible for supporting what we consider Backend Infrastructure (Windows Servers, Virtualization, Active Directory, and Systems Center). This opening is specifically for a SCCM resource on this team.

Some of the things you will be doing:

  • Execute large-scale desktop deployment, platform migration, and endpoint management

  • Follow policies and procedures for change, problem, and incident management

  • Lead global infrastructure engineers and interact with project managers

  • Proactively participate in P1 problem escalations and resolve desktop, server, and virtualization support issues

  • Perform technical writing of policies, procedures, and configuration of systems by authoring, updating, and maintaining all related documentation

  • Participate in the 24x7 on-call rotation and planned maintenance activities after hours and on weekends when needed

What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?

  • Knowledge of several of the following areas: System Center Configuration Management (SCCM), Group Policy, Active Directory, and Windows Enterprise technologies such a Work Folders and User Experience Virtualization

  • Understanding of Active Directory Group Policies, DNS, SMTP, Microsoft Powershell, Windows Server 2008R2, 2012 and 2016, Office 365, and cloud computing

  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, redirected folders, Roaming Profiles, DHCP, DNS, and general Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 Infrastructure

  • Experience assisting or leading troubleshooting level 2/3 escalated problems related to messaging Infrastructure platforms

  • Technical writing experience
