Senior SAP Financial Analyst

This position blends the skillset for project management of SAP enhancements (and deployments as required) with that of a Finance.

The application responsibilities of this key role include all aspects of SAP finance (FI-CO) and all finance touch points outside FI-CO. Key stakeholders are all finance functions including finance central services, tax and legal departments, business finance and controllership.

Key responsibilities include working with Controllership, COTA and the various HBT/SPS businesses to identify opportunities for process improvements thru the deployment of SAP enhancements. This includes ensuring 'best in class' ERP module processes are implemented; supporting implementation teams in their solution validation efforts and promote one common process model (GDM) across Honeywell sites. In addition, this role includes ensuring legal, statutory and finance controllership compliance.

You will work directly for the HBT/SPS controller and have partnership opportunities with business and commercial finance leaders and corporate controllership staff to drive high impact projects that apply SAP based data and processes to critical process improvements, business transformation and controllership requirements.

Finance Transformation:

  • Support and implement process or system changes or upgrades in support of common processes and business/controllership initiatives

  • Evaluate and manage the systems impact of acquisitions, divestitures and internal reorganizations

(ACS split, Homes spin)

  • Related special projects

Ad hoc data Requests:

  • Data acquisition and analysis for external audit and consulting firms (Deloitte, KPMG, PWC, E&Y) and Corporate functions

  • Where applicable, provide the SAP transactional guidance to the auditors to enhance their data analysis and retrieval.

Production Support:

  • Facilitate the Finance enhancement review, providing insight and recommendations for requested enhancements while ensuring global support of SAP changes.

  • Finance focal point at weekly Enterprise Rapid Delivery Intake meetings spanning all SBG's.

  • Organize and host bi-weekly Finance Only enhancement requests.

  • Perform analysis of requests and provide alternatives and recommendations.

  • Provide feedback to requestors when request is denied.

  • Maintain working knowledge of Finance policies and procedures along with the HBT/SPS process for SAP enhancements

  • As a SAP subject matter expert, train users on SAP functionality and enhancements

  • GRIR, Payables, Inter-company, Standard Cost, Fixed Assets,

Cost Assessments, Shipped Not Billed, Interest

  • Serve as a focal point for problem resolution in areas affecting COTA and Controllership in the FI-Co arena.

  • Troubleshoot user issues and determine solution (process training, alternatives or recommend an enhancement

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 5 years minimum accounting and/or commercial finance experience


  • CPA

  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills

  • Good project management skills

  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to identify and solve a variety of issues with varying levels of complexity

  • Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and thrive in a changing environment
