As a consultative outside-sales professional, the Senior Product Manager (SPA) is responsible for driving revenue growth and bringing in net new business from prospects. This role sets appointments with business owners to educate them about Heartland's payroll solution(s). SPAs do this by prospecting over the phone, face-to-face, through their networks, and building referral partnerships.

These positions are compensated with upfront one-time commission, residuals, and ownership. The compensation is highly leveraged with the opportunity for creating passive income while working flexible hours.

Essential duties:

Prospect and close new merchant accounts consistently month after month.

Provide after-sales service for the duration of a merchant relationship with HPS unless alternative

arrangements have been made with reporting manager

Market additional HPS products and services when introduced under company guidelines

Travel to and from client sites within a designated, geographical territory

Initiate contact with each customer a minimum of four times per year

Respond to all sales leads within the required response time and work to solidify and close the sale. Report

the results on a regular basis as defined

Overcome customer objections, issues or concerns as necessary to solidify the merchant relationship.

Candidate should have the ability to obtain a higher value from merchants based on the value-added benefits

offered by the product/service

Assess customers' needs and identify the product/service that best meets the needs

Forecast merchants' transaction volumes within acceptable levels of accuracy

Gain a full understanding of all hardware, software, and reporting offered by Heartland, and effectively

communicate this information to prospects, clients and internal parties

Continually learn all aspects of all of the products and services offered by Heartland

Work with reporting manager to assist in developing bank, association, value-added reseller, accounting and

vertical market channels targeted by Heartland

Provide all required documentation to manager

Primary Responsibilities: * Process 51 - 100 quote requests as assigned in the inventory tracking system * Review documents and market reference tools to create a 51 - 100 Fully Insured and / or Self - funded quotes * Work with internal and external contacts to gather missing information and clarify data that was submitted * Use appropriate quoting system to process quotes for 51 - 100 Non - Community rated business and All Savers quotes, as required by markets * Work with Underwriting and Underwriting tools to provide underwritten rates * Manage Specialty Rate Bank, as required * Process 51 - 100 Sold Case Submissions, as assigned in inventory system using outlined policies and procedures on OneNote, to follow market nuances * Work closely with AE, Broker, and Case Installation team to get a case through contract issuance * Manage data, including a personal email box and shared folders * Work in multiple applications including Microsoft Excel, Solaris, VRT, Word, WITT and pricing tools * Work within required timelines and expectations * Adherence to productivity metrics * Flexibility to work other operational roles during certain times of the year * Multi-task many responsibilities, that may or may not be related, through thoughtful prioritization and documentation You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: * High School Diploma / GED (or higher) or equivalent Years of work experience * Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook (ability to filter and sort through documents, spreadsheets, compose and respond to email) Preferred Qualifications: * Experience using all Microsoft applications including Microsoft Visio, Microsoft SharePoint (ability to create a document and basic navigation through application) * Experience working with Sales Operations teams in small businesses (1 - 100 employees) * 1+ years of experience with healthcare Insurance experience or medical experience.
