Lehigh Hanson is seeking a qualified Senior Sales Representative for our Cement division to be located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Reporting to the VP Sales, this position will be responsible for marketing, selling and technical assistance for cement within the greater Northern California markets while focusing on growing existing and prospective customers to increase market share and improving profit margins.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS
Marketing and selling cement products within the above noted region.
Reviewing bid documents and specifications and preparing bid packages and quotes.
Targeting and acquiring new accounts and maintaining existing accounts by strengthening customer relationships.
Achieving sales volumes and maximizing prices based on market conditions and company goals.
Monthly review of pricing and volume analytics actual vs. target.
Representing Lehigh Hanson in various industry associations.
Working with customers and credit function to optimize accounts receivable.
Participating in business-line forecasts, budgeting and planning strategies.
Ensuring compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of Group guidelines, performing training, monitoring compliance etc.
Monthly meetings with the Credit Department
Partner with Credit to help in mitigating bad debt risk
Working with the Cement Plants to develop a good understanding of production costs and drivers.
Bachelor's Degree in related field (preferred) or equivalent industry experience
3-5 years sales experience in the construction-materials industry. Experience with cement, ready mix and aggregates preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Effective oral and written communication skills
History of establishing goals, measuring and achieving results
Strong ability to take initiative in sales process
Strong organizational skills, emphasis in time management
Demonstrated commitment to customer service
Willingness to travel extensively
