Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sales Proposal Manager to join our marketing and business development team. This leadership role will be responsible for managing the entire proposal development process, ensuring the delivery of exceptional, winning proposals. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent project management skills and a deep understanding of the proposal process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the proposal development process from start to finish, including planning, writing, editing, and submission.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and insights for proposal content.

  • Develop and implement proposal strategies that align with BAL's unique differentiators with the target client's needs.

  • Ensure all proposals are compliant with client requirements and company standards.

  • Review and edit proposal content for clarity, consistency, and persuasiveness.

  • Manage proposal schedules and deadlines to ensure timely submission.

  • Conduct post-submission reviews and analysis to identify areas for improvement.

  • Maintain a repository of proposal templates, best practices, and past proposals for future reference.

  • Lead team of proposal writers and coordinators. Train and mentor junior team members on proposal development best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal management, sales, or a related role.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing and winning complex proposals.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce and proposal management software.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.

  • Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.

  • Able to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone.

  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.

  • Regular and on-time attendance.

  • Must be able to prioritized, schedule and complete testing required for multiple applications with overlapping schedules.

  • A certain degree of creativity and flexibility is required.

  • Hours may exceed 40 hours per week.

  • Occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
