As the Senior Sales Manager, youll oversee growth of a key national account, leading the companys efforts to maintain and expand relationship with a large, multi-location national account. You will works closely with all support teams to ensure SLAs are met, information is shared properly, and all parties are collaborating. Youll speak into the overall account strategy, responsible for setting strategy, tactical implementation of strategy and developing sales team.

This role is a remote position, but candidates must live in the Los Angeles area.

Your new role

Setting and executing sales strategy

  • Partner closely with SVP of national accounts on account strategy

  • Participate in financial budget setting annually

  • Speak into appropriate team KSMs

  • Establish and execute on internal communion cadence

  • Establish and implement accountability practices processes and inspection tools (i.e. Account plan, relationship tracker, metric reports etc.)

  • Set and monitor account and individual sales targets

  • Establish accountability practices with delivery teams leveraging metrics; Able to hold self and ancillary teams responsible for daily and weekly established activity and outcomes to meet account objectives

Account execution and growth

  • Responsible for personal production (will change when account gets to a certain size)

  • Proactively assess, clarify and validate customer needs on an on-going basis

  • Accountable for overall account net fee growth

  • Interact often with delivery and support teams to ensure client SLAs are met, information sharing process is flawless and all parties have an open and harmonious working relationship

  • Prepare and attend formal client business reviews

  • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings

  • Develop strong relationship with key buying influences within the account

  • Prepare reports for senior management and external requestors as approved and appropriate

  • Closely coordinate company executive involvement with key customer stakeholders

Hiring, coaching and developing account sales team

  • Ensure our internal recruitment team understands the role profile for sales team serving designated client to include cultural nuances within the account

  • Solicit referrals and leverages own network to ensure top talent is attracted into Hays to serve designated account

  • Work with training to ensure that designated account sales team has the training and coaching tools needed to thrive in their respective roles

  • Provides hands on coaching on weekly basis

  • Develops strong understanding of team needs, goals and has an eye on career progression

Strategic direction (Business insights)

  • Participates in business planning

  • Collect and analyze sales data and trends

  • Responsible to drive and define KPIs and measurements for the people and process that support designated national account

  • Provides feedback to internal teams for continuous improvement

  • Ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization

  • Understands client organization structure and key client stakeholders and drive a relentless pursuit of delivering our best in every client interaction

  • You possess 5+ years experience in staffing sales and account management within the staffing industry

Acts as a leader assigned to a set of producers to ensure book meets growth, profit, retention, rate, mix of business, and other objectives while maintaining a designated underwriting authority level. * Evaluates a prospect's/renewal's financial standing, operational strategy, and industry trends to determine whether to proceed with the account, and if so, under what terms and conditions. * Performs a hazard analysis by combining knowledge and experience with available information on the prospect's/renewal's and its industry, and where appropriate, collaborates with experienced underwriters and other departments to evaluate a prospect's/renewal's potential exposure to loss. * Applies understanding of insurance with the hazards identified for the customer to assess the customer/broker request and determine acceptable coverage grants by line of business that address the customer's critical insurance and service needs. * Using assessments of the prospect's/renewal's operations and anticipated hazards, losses (primary & excess), and expenses (service requirements), applies knowledge of pricing tools, manual rates, rating plans, and reinsurance, develops a price for each coverage and rating plan option under consideration that meets or exceeds target returns, and has accountability and ownership of account pricing recommendations. * Given the customer/broker request, the hazard, coverage, and loss analyses, and the competitive situation, recommends program structures (coverage, limits/retention, rating plan/pricing, and billing combinations) achieving desired Business Unit goals, including long term profitability. * Creates a proposal that presents a business case reflecting the prospect's/renewal's critical risk and financial requirements and our unique value proposition. Understands the customer and/or producer buying decisions. Lead the proposal presentation (production underwriting model) or supports the territory manager who leads the proposal presentation (Middle Market model). * Cultivates effective business relationship with accounts, providing risk stewardship including initial setup of service commitments and ongoing consultation. Completes all required steps on account setup, documentation, and account management. Partners with service providers to build long-term relationships between customers/brokers and Liberty and manages expectations of all parties. Qualifications: * Intermediate level understanding of commercial casualty insurance coverages, forms/filings, underwriting standards and competitive practices * Ability to independently analyze complex financial statements, hazards, coverage, losses, pricing terms, and competitive positions * Demonstrated ability to make disciplined underwriting decisions while reaching new business, retention and other goals; Effective mathematical, interpersonal (relationship building, persuasion, etc.), and organizational skills as normally obtained through a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) * Minimum of 3 years casualty underwriting experience and a commitment to making progress towards attaining the CPCU.
