The opportunity:

The Sales Director is responsible for all aspects of Core direct sales business including strategy, planning and execution in order to meet or exceed assigned sales objectives and quotas, building new revenue streams through the expansion and growth of the business relationships within current and new clients. The Sales Director is responsible for overall team quota performance and may hold an individual quota. They will be expected to spend the majority of their time working with their direct reports to coach and develop them to ensure success. They and their teams are expected to work well with all functions of the company in order to achieve their objectives.

You are great at:

  • Meet or exceed assigned sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis growing revenue, share and profitability.

  • Develop an annual business plan updated on a quarterly basis including plans by direct report, product, geography and action plans to capitalize on new opportunities.

  • Develop and manage sales funnel (personal and team) to analyze and manage pipeline activity and monitor sales activity against assigned quotas.

  • Maintain accumulated forecast for the region for regular review.

  • Provide leadership, coaching and direction to their team.

  • Maintain both tangible near term actions and longer term strategic direction to increase growth and sustainable revenues.

  • Work with their team to maximize customer touches and opportunities.

  • Train, develop and motivate employees in sales skills, product knowledge, teamwork, time and territory management, competitive knowledge, and career goals pursuits to achieve team and individual goals.

What it takes:

  • Direct software sales experience.

  • External candidates must have experience in managing or leading others.

  • Experience in effectively leading a cross functional team of technical, services and partner personnel in a complex enterprise software sale and implementation.

  • Prior experience or strong potential in managing others, inclusive of development, coaching, providing feedback and conducting reviews.

  • Possess the strong ability to attract, engage, motivate and inspire others.

  • Strong evidence of creating and working a plan to drive revenue from assigned territory

  • Demonstrated history of developing team or individual pipeline quota.

  • Demonstrated strong business acumen and capable of developing and managing strategic plans with partner and company executives.

Internal Job Description We're seeking an Industrial Inside Sales Representative to join our Rexel Automation team at our Tampa, FL location! Summary Processes telephone orders by quoting product prices, delivery specifications, and payment terms and by offering substitute products where appropriate. Assists outside sales personnel by processing priority transactions. Sells, markets, promotes, demonstrates products and increases business through product sales to new customers and through additional sales to existing customers. Prospects for new accounts within a specified geographical territory. Pursues product applications utilizing personal knowledge, internal specialists or other internal resources, vendor representatives and other available sources. Establishes and maintains customer relationships. Learns and evaluates customer operations to aid in identifying customer objectives, requirements, and preferences. Processes product quotations and provides continuous follow up throughout the completion of the customer's purchasing cycle. Coordinates and directs employee teams to assist in large customer projects and high tech automation issues. Gathers and reports to management information regarding the company, competitors, pricing, products and current and future market trends as well as assists management and vendors in planning, tracking and implementing sales strategies and developing new markets. Other duties as assigned. Essential Responsibilities Achieves and maintains technical capabilities at required levels, attends customer seminars, schools, and special promotions and participates in sales meetings, vendor seminars and training schools to enhance and maintain personal and product knowledge. Ability to exhibit a positive, friendly and helpful attitude with customers and to be sensitive to their needs. Able to meet deadlines. Excellent attendance record required. Able to work overtime as needed. Skills, Knowledge, and Education High school diploma or two-year technical degree or more preferred. Customer oriented and motivated with excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent negotiation skills, interpersonal skills and ability to drive decisions with influence. Product and application knowledge essential. Experience with construction sales desired. Equivalent experience in the industry with a strong sales background will be given serious consideration.
