Having recently unveiled a revolutionary lineup of software-defined satellites, we are searching for a Senior Sales and Marketing Manager to drive revenue growth. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the organization that crafts compelling offerings based on Boeing's next generation capabilities, demonstrating our value proposition to seasoned executives across the globe, achieving annual sales targets, creating business rationale for internal investments, and championing Boeing's Commercial Satellite vision in the marketplace.

Responsibilities:

  • Top line growth; leadership of sales team and ownership/execution of sales strategy in the context of business capture activities, with minimal guidance, and in partnership with cross-functional technical/business teams.

  • Cultivation and maintenance of key customer relationships within commercial satellite operators around the world. Integration of customer organizations with Boeing points of contact to keep both aligned and collaborative.

  • Management of day-to-day new business operations, enabling investments and resources, marketing and communication projects, and the development of competitive strategies.

  • Management of internal new business processes as well as coordination across the Commercial Satellite team and with Boeing senior leaders.

  • Oversight of proposal development and delivery, shaping of ongoing capture efforts, identification and translation of customer's needs and requirements, and development of winning strategies to meet the needs of our customers while growing our business portfolio.

  • Development of technology roadmaps, internal investments, and oversight of key technology maturation to better serve our customers.

  • Representation of Boeing in various forums to effectively communicate our mission and the discriminating value we provide.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5 or more years of experience leading sales / business development teams with demonstrated revenue growth

  • 5 or more years of experience working in satellite communications community

  • 5 or more years of experience leading large, complex, competitive proposals and presentations delivered to executive level customers and internal decision makers.

  • Ability to travel 25% of the time

  • Willing able to obtain a US Government Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Aerospace and/or Satellite Communications

  • Master's degree or PhD in a business or science field

  • Existing relationships with key decision makers, influencers and stakeholders among satellite operators and within the satellite communications industry

  • Detailed understanding of satellite communication technologies, terrestrial networks, and industry dynamics, competitive insights, etc

  • Experience negotiating contracts and teaming arrangements/partnerships

  • Experience with regulatory (e.g. spectrum, export, etc) landscape and insight as to how satellite manufacturers and customers are impacted.

  • Strong analytical skills concerning business (finance/accounting, forecasting, decision theory, business case development, etc ) and engineering (ability to understand complex performance parameters, KPIs, etc)

  • Energetic, motivated 'closer' with demonstrated satellite sales to typical operators/partners.

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
