Primary health and safety contact with the personnel in the plant. Responsible for administering industrial hygiene programs for the plant. Directs the contractor safety program. Member of the emergency response team. AIMS element champion. Represents the plant with the LEPC and other organizations.
Facilitate the preparation of procedures, develop viable programs and write procedures as needed to obtain compliance with CFR 1910.
Conduct planned audits to ensure compliance with CFR 1910.
Prepare and conduct site general safety meetings.
Support the site in all safety related activities.
Manage the Contractor Safety Process.
Administer industrial hygiene activities such as respiratory protection, hearing conservation, industrial hygiene monitoring and medical surveillance.
Participate in professional conferences and training sessions as necessary to keep updated on governmental regulations.
Manage site safety statistics, prepare and deliver monthly reports.
Active member of the Emergency Response Team.
Loss control responsibilities include: Understanding, supporting and compliance with all plant policies, procedures and applicable regulations; conducting applicable Loss Control Challenge activities, including inspections and audits as assigned; completion of assigned Loss Control action items; and completion of regulatory and other required training
