Description

As a Senior Project Engineer in the DRMP Roadway Division, you will provide design reviews and QA/QC support in the development of construction plans for roadway projects throughout Florida for clients such as FDOT, CFX, FTE and local municipalities and counties.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include

• Perform QA/QC, biddability, and constructability reviews of engineering designs including horizontal alignments, vertical alignments, 3D modeling and cross-sections, pavement design, and temporary traffic control plans, quantities, and cost estimates.

• Perform reviews of project documentation including Typical Section Packages, Pavement Design Packages, Design Variations and Exceptions, Estimated Quantity Reports, and Project Meeting minutes.

• Collaborating with technical staff, and managers across multiple disciplines to develop quality deliverables within schedule and budgetary requirements.

• Verification of adherence to client design criteria.

• Support of post-design services on roadway projects.

• Assist in preparation of Project Quality Control Plans.

What you'll need

• Bachelor of Science from an ABET-accredited university in Civil Engineering

• Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license

• Minimum of 10 years of transportation roadway design experience

• Familiarity with applicable design software (Bentley's MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer, etc.)

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines

• Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment
