The day-to-day As a lead RF engineer, you will be responsible for guiding the team on designing and delivering advanced microwave and millimeterwave products. It can range from hybrid modules, System in Package (SiP), RF sub-assemblies, and up to an integrated assembly (containing RF, Digital, and Power Supply slices). These designs will encompass a variety of RF components including: power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, filters, ADCs, DACs, optical converters, IC packages, FPGA, microcontrollers, embedded SW, and DSP algorithms.

You will guide a collaborative team RF, Digital, Programmable Logic, Mechanical, Software, DSP, Manufacturing, and System Test Engineers to ensure successful product design and transition to production.

What you'll need 8+ years RF/Microwave design experience Leading diverse engineering teams Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status Up to 10% travel What will help you on the job MSEE degree Experience with Agilent ADS or other simulation tools Experience with HFSS, Momentum, or other electromagnetic simulators Previous circuit design experience for frequencies above 10GHz Experience with RF test and measurement methods: gain, P1dB, noise figure, TOI, adjacent channel rejection, etc Experience RF test and measurement equipment: Spectrum Analyzers, Noise figure meters, Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Power Meters, etc AESA/phase array, Radar, SIGINT, or SATCOM experience Experience with Cadence for IC development Salary range $152,500.00 - $265,200.00 / annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience.

Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
