IAI is seeking a motivated Product Development RF Systems Engineer to work onsite with one of our IC customers in Reston, VA. A qualified candidate will have broad experience working in the development of end user equipment and radio frequency transport segments.


Provide RF engineering design and analysis assessments for Comm user equipment and transport segments

Develop plans and integrate user equipment with a variety of short and long range terrestrial and Space based RF networks

Conduct assessments including modulation techniques, antennae characteristics, software defined radio methodology, digital signal processing, and GNU standards

Conduct test design; anomaly resolution; system deployment and sustainment support.

Perform or assist in design, development, installation and testing of operational equipment

Conduct system anomaly trouble shooting and interface with vendors and mission partners to ensure systems will meet the end goals of stakeholders.

Position Requirements:

10+ years experience working in RF communications development industry

Experience with RF communications systems engineering and/or integration is highly desired

Experience with RF antenna design, analog and digital signal conversion, and Satellite Comm is highly desired

Experience with waveforms, waveform design, and characteristics reducing probability of detection/interception

Experience with Digital Signal Processors and the application to perform traditional and non-traditional functions

Experience with Position Navigation Timing, RF interception, and geo location techniques

Experience with user equipment (to include mobile devices), data transport and processing across local wide area and global networks for information transfer is highly desired

Familiarity with foundational concepts of cognitive radios and technology leveraging for a range of purposes

Proficiency in using Matlab, Simulink and/or other modeling, simulating, or analyzing tools is highly desired

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Experience supporting the IC community is desired

Experience in the telecommunications industry is desired

Education: Bachelors of Science Degree are in Electrical Engineering or related discipline; graduate level degrees is desired.

Travel: Some OCONUS travel may be required.

Security Requirements:
Active TS/SCI CI Poly security clearance required.

The Role: As a Senior Systems Engineer (SE) you are a customer-focused technical sales professional who provides pre-sales support and guidance to Federal customers and strategic engagements that collaborates with Federal account and business development representatives to position FireEye solutions within US Federal security architectures. Systems Engineers act in a consultative fashion and are looked upon as an expert in advanced computer network defense, security operations and incident response by the account team, channel partners and customers. Responsibilities: * Possess a comprehensive understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) organizational mission. * Be able to map FireEye technology to meet the business drivers of US Federal customers. * Provide technical leadership with pre-sales assistance for sales opportunities to customers and partners. * Refine and research technical requirements of Federal Agency cyber frameworks. * Define solution options and while supporting creation of product scoping and pricing. * Clearly articulate the benefits of FireEye products as compared to competing solutions. * Act as an interface between the sales organization and technical staff to resolve outstanding issues. * Provide reporting and feedback on customer accounts and field activities to sales, product management and engineering organizations. * Work closely with customers in the design and implementation/integration of FireEye products. Requirements: * Bachelor Degree or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or Equivalent Experience * 5 plus years pre-sales experience with US Federal agencies * 10 plus years pre-sales experience in the computer networking or security space * Subject Matter Expertise across cyber security, malware and incident response * Active TS/SCI clearance highly preferred Additional Qualifications: * Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and execute in a methodical and disciplined manner * Ability to set and manage expectations with key stake-holders and team members * Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of external audiences, including being able to interact with senior executives * Exceptional written communication. * Ability to understand and articulate both the business benefits (value proposition) and technical advantages of FireEye products and solutions * Understand and be conversant about FireEye competitors, their solutions, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. * Familiarity with various hacking and exploitation tools and methodologies, common malware families, and Anti-Virus / IDS / IPS evasion techniques * Excellent knowledge and experience with a wide variety of IT technologies and security solutions.
