Senior Revenue Accountant - Remote

TrueCommerce is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join the team. This position provides billing and revenue accounting expertise for the TrueCommerce organization and leads one direct report. The Revenue Accountant requires 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, technical understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition experience in a SaaS software environment, and direct experience with revenue accounting entries and reporting. We are looking for a curious problem solver, self starter, best practice guru, and interest in leading and developing talent on your team (one direct report)

As a Senior Revenue Accountant you will:

• Establish, improve, and manage organizational billing practices to ensure invoice accuracy and proper revenue recognition.

• Lead customer credit request process and facilitate cross department collaboration to review and decision requests.

• Seeks automation and process improvement for global billing activities.

• Analyze and interpret complex customer contracts to determine appropriate billing and revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and company revenue recognition policies.

• Record accounting journal entries for billing activities, adjustments, and assist with reserve analysis.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements related to billing, revenue recognition, & related accounting policies.

• Provides revenue recognition analysis and reporting for month end close process.

• Generates and posts monthly revenue recognition entries.

• Research and resolve revenue-related issues.

• Prepare account reconciliations for revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable related accounts (domestic and international).

• Work closely with FP&A to assist with explaining revenue results, modeling, and forecasting.

Requirements for Success:

• Bachelors Degree

• 5+ years of progressive experience in an accounting role

• Experience with NetSuite (strongly preferred)

• CPA (preferred, not required)

• Strong Technical understanding of ASC606

• Strong accounting background in revenue recognition and billing operations

• Experience working with large data sets

• Advanced excel skills

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to multi-task and establish priorities

• Must exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility, leadership, confidentiality and integrity
