About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant to support the global revenue accounting operations & revenue close process. This role will report to the Global Leader of Revenue Accounting and will be part of a team that is critical to the company's month end close process, new product initiatives and M&A readiness.

In this role, you will manage and improve efficiency of close processes through automation, work cross-functionally with Finance System team to develop and enhance revenue systems, and be involved in supporting major projects that impact the entire accounting organization. We are looking for a talented and passionate individual who is interested in joining our Finance team to help us take Atlassian to the next level.

In This Role, You'll Get To

  • Assist in monthly global revenue close, ensuring accurate results are delivered on time for reporting in accordance with IFRS/US GAAP.

  • Prepare analysis of revenue forecasting, performance trends, account reconciliations and variance explanations for C-level feedback.

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of stand-alone selling price (SSP) fair values. Monitor compliance with the fair value analysis.

  • Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-launch validations to ensure seamless system implementation of new products and services.

  • Work cross functionally with Technical accounting, Finance, Sales Operations, FP&A, AR, IT, Tax and various business owners on policies, processes and programs, and help drive key system initiatives.

  • Assist in refining revenue accounting processes and procedures with a focus on continuous improvements.

  • Support external and internal audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility and help develop/refine revenue accounting processes and procedures.

  • Other responsibilities include, but not limited to participating in special projects, ERP implementation or ad hoc analyses as assigned.

What You Bring To The Team

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting with CPA or CA preferred.

  • 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally with experience at both public companies and Big 4 accounting firms.

  • Understanding of revenue accounting rules under ASC 605/ ASC 985-605 and under ASC 606 /IFRS 15 preferred.

  • Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables & V-Lookups.

  • Able to work under time pressure, able to prioritize workload and meet strict deadlines.

  • Must be meticulous, detail oriented, and organized.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently, yet cooperatively and constructively, in a team environment.

  • Working knowledge of Zuora RevPro, NetSuite is a plus

ABOUT THIS JOB As a Senior Revenue Accountant, you will be supporting a high-energy, rapidly growing company. This role plays an essential part in our Revenue team and will oversee TV revenue and billing. This role will work closely with the TV and Data teams in reviewing work orders and data partner costs for the appropriate accounting and revenue recognition considerations. You will drive continuous process improvement for the revenue cycle. RESPONSIBILITIES * Support LiveRamp's TV vertical including account reconciliations, accruals, contract analysis, billing, reporting, revenue recognition and related partner royalties * Partner with the business and technical accounting team to ensure that new products and partnerships are in compliance with revenue recognition * Collaborate with various teams to design process changes and system enhancements to achieve scalability * Ad hoc and special projects as needed * SOX control performance and documentation maintenance QUALIFICATIONS * You have strong experience in revenue recognition and ASC 606. You are organized, detail oriented and approachable.
