Projects in Translational Medicine include method transfer of assays originated from the client's lab, validation of commercially available kits and methods, or a collaborative effort between the QPS team and the client's lab for custom assays. In addition to LBA-based immunoassays for PK, biomarkers and immunogenicity assessment, QPS helps develop cell-based assays for neutralizing antibody activity studies and biomarker evaluation in support of their drug development programs.

As a Senior Research Scientist, you will conceive and develop new, quantitative, bioanalytical methods; improve assay quality and technical operations; troubleshoot analytical issues and transfer existing assays from pharmaceutical organizations; prepare controlled procedures and reports of results with data interpretation; author scientific papers to be published in peer reviewed journals and finally, present at scientific meetings as needed

The Job

  • Lead/design complex method development studies.

  • Act as Principle Investigator for complex validation studies.

  • Validate unique scientific methods, assays, techniques, reports, etc.

  • Direct and mentor junior staff in completion of all laboratory analyst duties, including but not limited to equipment setup/operation, data analysis, routine mathematical and chemical calculations, and documenting results and observations in accordance with GLPs and SOPs

  • Evaluate significance of data and report findings.

  • Author Study summaries and/or reports.

Work Location

  • This job will be 100% QPS-office/facility based

Requirements

The successful candidate will hold an advanced degree in Protein Chemistry, Biochemistry, Immunology, Pharmacology, Medical Technology, Biology or a related field as follows:

  • Ph.D. plus ≥ 4 years relevant industry experience or 2 year CRO experience

  • Master's Degree plus ≥ 10 years relevant industry experience or 6 years CRO experience

  • Bachelor's Degree plus ≥ 12 years relevant industry experience

  • Experience in a Regulated industry laboratory required
