Senior Research Associate

Piper Companies is looking for a Senior Research Associate to join a contract research organization located in Rockville, MD.

Responsibilities of the Senior Research Associate include:

• Provide guidance to staff members on planned experiments and give technical training on new procedures

• Creation of protocols and SOPs

• Provide aid in laboratory operations which includes instrument operation and maintenance

• Working with flow cytometry panel design

• Determine needs to develop or verify application to support research with clients and coworkers

• Control complex laboratory equipment (PRC analyzers, flow cytometers, ELISA readers, Elispot readers, etc)

• Ability to serve as Study Director

Qualifications for the Senior Research Associate include:

• Need 3+ years of flow cytometry experience. Would additionally need immunoassay experience also

• Prior experience working with pre-clinical samples. Preferred to have experience with non-primate or non-rodent samples

• Experience with BSL-2 training and preferred BSL-3 training

• Needs a Bachelors or Masters in Life Science or a related field

Compensation for the Senior Research Associate includes:

• Rate Range: $35 - $40 Per Hour depending on experience
