The Senior Research Associate in the Research and Development Department will play a crucial role in supporting projects that advance the understanding of microbiome impacts on agricultural soils. This position is integral to our mission of developing innovative solutions to enhance soil health and improve crop productivity. The successful candidate will design and conduct experiments, analyze complex data sets, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to translate research findings into practical applications. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute experiments in both laboratory and greenhouse settings to test hypotheses.

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to derive meaningful conclusions.

  • Coordinate field trials to ensure timely execution and accurate data collection.

  • Maintain detailed and organized documentation of experimental procedures and results.

  • Communicate and present research findings effectively to supervisors and a multidisciplinary team, including biologists, bioinformaticians, statisticians, and managers.

  • Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.

  • Adhere to company safety policies, protocols, and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

  • Work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Master of Science (MS) degree, or a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with 3+ years of relevant experience in Agronomy, Plant Pathology, Plant Sciences, Genetics, or related fields.

  • Proficiency in conducting experiments in greenhouse environments.

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments in a dynamic work environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with R is preferred but not required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present research findings.

  • Capability to lift up to 20 lbs.

  • Valid driver's license and the ability to drive locally, including to greenhouse facilities.
