Cell Line Development Skill Center Senior Research Associate
Job Responsibilities/Department Description:
The Cell Line Development Skill Center is seeking a motivated, full-time employee to join a high-performing, collaborative team focused on optimizing CHO cell line development platforms. Responsibilities will focus on improving processes, components, and methodologies used to generate recombinant CHO cell lines for production of protein biologics. Work will directly support development programs within Sanofi Biopharmaceutics R&D.
Position Overview/Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for vector construction, cell line generation and evaluation of recombinant CHO cell lines for preclinical development programs.
Contribute to process optimization and new technology evaluations, to support platform development activities which aim to reduce overall timelines while improving cell line productivity and product quality.
Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and superb organizational skills, having a proven ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and communicate transversally.
Flexibility, adjusting to a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment and willingness to expand and broaden skillset.
Manage work assignments, analyze and interpret test results, and conduct necessary troubleshooting with supervisor consultation as needed
Prepare reports, presentations, and data sets to effectively communicate results, progress and plans.
MS degree with 2-4 years (or BS degree with 6 years) experience in biologic sciences including hands-on experience in molecular biology and mammalian cell culture. Must be able to collaboratively work in a fast paced, team oriented environment.
Experience in suspension culture of CHO cell lines
Experience in molecular cloning, cell line development, and flow cytometry
