Summary:

The position requires a seasoned analyst with 3 to 5 years of experience in North American power markets. The Senior Research Analyst is expected to work within a team of broad North American power and renewables researchers in analyzing policy, technology costs and competitiveness, developing forecasts and contributing to consulting projects.

Job Duties:

  • Collect data and maintain models to perform research tasks for fundamentals and economic analysis of renewables and other supply resources

  • Lead or contribute to regular reports including power and renewable forecasts, market updates, and competitor analyses.

  • Carry out topical research to help clients understand drivers, trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities

  • Deliver insights through written reports, presentations, and client interactions

  • Participate in consulting project development and delivery

  • Collaborate with energy researchers on broader reports and studies

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in economics, statistics or industry-related field required. Graduate degree with quantitative skills preferred..

Required Experience:

At least 3 years of power experience typically acquired by working in industry, government, research, or consulting.

Other Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated experience in using structured methods and data analysis to derive research insights and messages.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Effective interpersonal skills to enable communication and collaboration with colleagues and clients.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and to navigate in a matrix organization.

  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications required (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

We are ideally looking for you to be based out of our Washington DC office. Responsibilities: * Conduct daily monitoring of market developments utilizing secondary research and summarize for different partners * Collaborate with the Product, Growth, Business Development/Strategy and Marketing teams on Rally's product improvement and positioning projects * Conduct custom market research projects as requested by Rally's product team using both primary and secondary research * Update Rally's competitor dashboard weekly to reflect new features, products, clients and external events * Become knowledgeable on the main market trends and key competitors relevant to Rally's solutions Qualifications Required: * B.A. or B.S. degree from a liberal arts college * M.A. degree in Economics, Healthcare Management, or a related field preferred * 2-4 years of healthcare experience in research, strategy/product, or marketing roles * Experience conducting both secondary and primary research projects * Goal oriented, resourceful researcher who can located required information * Critical thinking skills (ability to evaluate issues from different angles) * Strong organizational and project managements skills * Excellent writing skills, and ability to synthesize complex information. * Enthusiastic in taking on responsibility and ability to prioritize tasks Why join Rally?
