Regulatory Analysis and Reporting - S2 Under moderate supervision, helps compile, synthesize and report on BNY Mellon or market data sources. Assists with access, maintenance and security activities.

May manage databases, feeds and other data sources of low-to-moderate complexity. May assist with more complex data sources. Conducts preliminary, basic calculations for more senior colleagues and helps develop reports.

With moderate guidance, supports day-to-day data management activities.

Monitors data feeds and performs data scrubbing for the data management team. Participates in identifying and documenting violations, exceptions, or occurrences exceeding tolerance thresholds.

Adds and maintains data on BNY Mellons systems. Inputs and verifies accuracy of information. Reviews information entered by more junior team members.

May test software enhancements and upgrades as necessary. Monitors a variety of data feeds, databases and spreadsheets. May perform basic calculations, initiate the execution of data modeling programs and prepare initial drafts of simple charts, graphs or reports.

Responds to data-related questions from internal and external clients. Responses to customers are thoroughly documented and verified. No direct reports.

Provides guidance to less experienced team members, as needed. Responsible for the quality and completion of own work. Helps develop and contributes to the achievement of team objectives.

Qualifications

High school/secondary school or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Bachelors degree preferred. 1-2 years of total work experience preferred.

Implements the policies, procedures and controls that maintain the accuracy of data being reported. Implements plans and programs that help automate the regulatory reporting process and limitation of control gaps. Supports more senior team members in maintaining the appropriate risk culture. Examines reports for accuracy, consistency and compliance against regulatory mandates. Assists in root cause analyses to determine where there are control gaps and contributes to the development of programs to address them. Understands the processes and products within the relevant systems from which regulatory reports are created. Begins to lead projects in support of new or evolving processes / products which may affect regulatory reports. Contributes to the development of validation processes for data, including assessment and monitoring of data quality issues. Executes validation processes. Participates in and oversees data cleansing/remediation activities. Prepares reports. Reviews accuracy of reports and calculations performed by more junior team members. Prepares ad-hoc reports and delivers results to management and/or other leaders. Accountable for the attestation process. Independently signs-off on the integrity of the data delivered. Builds and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to remove barriers to successful regulatory reporting implementation. No direct reports. Provides guidance to more junior team members as needed. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives. Qualifications Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. A degree in computer science or a related discipline preferred. 3-5 years of experience preferred. Experience in the securities or financial services industry preferred.
