This position assists in facility reservations and park operations on a part time basis. This position will be directly underneath the Supervisor position in terms of chain of command. The rental staff reports to the Senior Rental Permit Ambassador if any issues arise.

Job Responsibilities

  • Cleans Park restrooms.

  • Assists rental permit supervisor in facility reservations, scheduling facility tours, and training part time rental ambassadors.

  • Writes weekly event schedules on calendars for parks/rental staff.

  • Turn over kiosk rental signs at outdoor pavilion locations.

  • Prepares facilities for reservations including cleaning, setting up tables and chairs, gathering needed supplies and equipment, and performing pre and post facility inspection with renters. Inspects facilities and reports any issues using the work order system.

  • Oversees evening and weekend facility reservations and service as park ambassador in the absence of staff.

  • Responsible for inventory of cleaning supplies and restocking facility supplies.

  • Assists Park patrons with reservations.

  • Drops off scheduling documents to rental staff bins.

  • Gathers and delivers reservation inspection documents to Supervisor.

  • Able to report regularly for work and be on time and respond to call outs when necessary.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Education/GED

  • Must possess a valid Texas driver's license

  • Experience in the use of maintenance equipment assigned.

  • Experience in management

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills

  • The work is typically performed outdoors intermittently sitting, standing, bending, crouching, or stooping. The employee occasionally lifts light and heavy objects, climbs ladders, uses tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.

  • The work is typically performed outdoors; possibly in cold and inclement weather. The employee is expose to machinery with moving parts. The work requires the use of protective devices such as masks, eye protection, gloves, etc.

  • Emergency Preparedness Tier Level: 4
