ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing/design/deliver reliability testing methods/tools/technology to be able to validate thedesign of enterprise SSDs

  • Produce a validation roadmapthat effectively addresses the design validation requirements of futureproducts and its associated enabling technologies/new features at the drivelevel.

  • Define an executereliability tests

  • Design/ Develop/Deploycomplete test platform (test code/script/ HW) solutions for NPI designvalidation.

  • Support the execution of allreliability testing.

  • Collaborate withcross-functional teams across multiple geographies to drive root cause andcorrective action on test failures.

  • Produce test plan andprocedures

  • Provide SME-level guidanceand recommendation in his/her area of expertise

  • Improve the skill set of thereliability test team by providing cross-training to team members

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor'sdegree required with 5+ years of experience

In this position, you will be responsible for helping the team develop the optical testing and optical processing for customer projects, plus helping with design for experiments. You will manage the optical engineering lab and educate personnel on how to use the equipment. We are looking for someone who demonstrates: * Intense collaboration * Passionate customer focus * Thoughtful, fast, disciplined execution * Tenacious commitment to continuous improvement * Relentless drive to win Here is a glimpse of what you'll do: * Train operators and technicians on optical related assembly processes, including root cause/corrective action and defect analysis of components and processes. * Review customer's complete specifications for optical components and modules. * Qualify performance specifications (optical, electrical) for components, subassemblies and assemblies * Work closely with the engineering team, customer and suppliers to determine, implement and resolve any issues related to performance, qualification and quality. * Interface with the operations team to develop documentation and test processes related to modules at component, sub-assembly and assembly level. * Drive optical process validation and qualification process for manufacturing process related to optical components and subsystems including GR&R. * Execute DOEs for optical component validation, process qualification and participate in process improvements to meet customer and factory quality and yield expectations. * Oversee laboratory safety and ensure that the laboratory remains in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations. In cases where non-compliance is found, document the instances as well as how they were abated. Here is some of what you'll need (required): * Strong experience with lab management plus 3 to 5 years' experience with optical systems (e.g. heads-up displays, image projection systems, displays and optics). * Familiarity with optical sub-systems, including base materials, filters, coatings, displays and lenses and how to properly characterize their performance to match customer needs. Knowledge of color science, colorimetry is highly desired. * Experience with a variety of optical test equipment including optical bench tools and testing for qualifying image quality and optical component quality. * Experience working in high volume, fast paced, clean room manufacturing environment processing optical components to very high precision.
