In Advisor Services (AS) we have built our business on serving the needs of RIAs and advancing an industry that helps the advisor and their clients thrive. We understand their needs, and work side by side providing them the support to help them manage their firm and meet their goals. Advisor Services is the industry leader in providing custody, trading, and technology and practice management to independent advisory firms.
We are seeking relationship-minded service professionals to support independent Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) in a team based and client focused environment. The RIAs you will serve manage client portfolios from multi-millions to multi-billions in assets under management. As a Senior Relationship Specialist you will provide world-class client service and operational support, while educating advisors on the technology, tools and resources our industry leading platform offers.
What you'll do:
Consult on technology, tools and resources offered on the Schwab Advisor Services platform with the goal of supporting advisors to operate their businesses more effectively and efficiently
Provide exceptional service and operational support through inbound calls from advisor clients
Educate advisors on internal processes and procedures and industry best practices
Enhance advisor loyalty by advocating for the industry and their specific business needs
Practice active listening, open ended dialogue, and consultative service to gain a thorough understanding of Advisors' needs and create long lasting relationships
Collaborate with internal partners to ensure timely and accurate delivery of information
Anticipate client issues and problems and proactively take necessary steps to prevent such problems from occurring
Lead with a superior understanding of features and benefits of Schwab tools, products, and services in order to encourage adoption of our industry leading platform
What you have:
Excellent relationship building skills with demonstrated ability to problem solve, interact with individuals at various levels, and think on your feet
Aptitude and passion for working with technology and influencing our Advisors in becoming a digital practice
Attributes of an entrepreneurial self-starter and have a proven ability to deliver excellent client service with the ability to anticipate and resolve problems under your own initiative
Willingness to own problem resolution through completion
Superior communication, presentation, interpersonal and listening skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively with a track record of meeting or exceeding expectations
Passion for ideation, professionalism, positivity and strong work ethic with a high level of integrity and teamwork.
In-depth knowledge of products and services that support independent advisory firms as well as demonstrated brokerage industry knowledge
Flexibility to travel for client events
3-5 years of financial services industry and client service experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
FINRA Series 7 and 63 required
FINRA Series 9/10 preferred
Willingness to invest in yourself by obtaining additional licenses or certifications as driven and sponsored by the business
