Senior Relationship Manager Restaurant Group (Atlanta, Charlotte, Virginia, Florida)

Bank of America's Global Commercial bank (GCB) is seeking to hire a Senior Relationship Manager for its Restaurant Group. The Relationship Manager (RM) will have a strong focus on new business development and will build and manage a portfolio of Restaurant Operating Companies, Franchisors and Franchisees. In addition to being the primary bank advocate and key financial advisor for the relationship, the RM is accountable for prospecting new business and enhancing existing relationships (including collaborating with the financial sponsor groups as many relationships have sponsors in their ownership). The RM will have the ability to engage in dialogue at the CEO and CFO levels regarding the clients industry and alternative capital structures. The RM will then assess the risks and impacts from both the clients and the banks perspective for development and implementation of an overall client strategy. The RM is also responsible for leading, directing and coordinating key team members in analysis and execution in the effective delivery of their products and services to clients and prospects. The RM must be well versed in all Bank of America products and services for proper identification of cross-selling opportunities. Proven track record of prospecting new business and enhancing existing relationships. Proven sales skills and experience, including planning, execution and follow up of client meetings. Must be able to assess and analyze financial conditions of a middle market relationship and restaurant industry trends. Ability to understand and interpret financial statements, especially cash flow statements.

Success Measures/Metrics:

  • Maximizing revenue across credit, Treasury, and investment banking, with a focus on M&A and ECM

  • Delivering new logos for the group

  • Maximize client revenue by positioning the team to deliver products/services/solutions that are great fits for the client and the firm

Required Skills:

  • At least 5-10 years of broad based commercial lending/corporate finance experience within restaurants is preferred. Known in the industry positively.

*Position may be filled as a Sr. Relationship Manager or a Relationship Manager, depending on experience and qualifications.

  • Heavy credit and treasury sales skill set along with an investment banking understanding. Able to work with clients from at least 20 units (franchisees) and $50MM of revenue (franchisors and operating companies) up to the largest names in the industry.

  • Focus and ability to have value added/strategic conversations with the C suite

  • Undergraduate degree required: Majors or other training in business, finance or economics preferred.

  • Experience treasury sales, leveraged finance, capital markets and delivering "the firm"

  • Strong credit skills

This role supports the assessment of the Company's risk and control environments within the auditable entities, determine appropriate audit cycles, maintain an effective continuous monitoring program, and make necessary adjustments to the audit plan. The role is also expected to develop and deepen relationships with key internal and external stakeholders that include, but are not limited to: senior management; internal control partners; regulatory agencies; external auditors; external subject matter experts; and industry peers. This Senior Audit Manager will lead a team of audit professionals and managers and is responsible for managing assigned personnel in accordance with U.S. Bank Human Resources policies and internal audit policies and procedures to achieve audit plan completion. The Senior Audit Manager is expected to recruit, hire, and develop assigned staff to ensure audit engagements are completed in conformance with internal audit policies and procedures. Duties 1. Supervising audit team in the completion of audit engagements, ensuring the highest quality work delivered timely. Supervision includes: * Planning audit engagements. * Assessing work performed by the audit team. * Performing sufficient reviews to ensure work contains relevant facts to support audit scope and conclusions and adhere to internal audit policies and procedures. * Reviewing audit reports which communicate audit opinions and audit issues in a timely, clear and concise manner. * Monitoring progress of audit engagements against plan and schedule and making necessary adjustments. 2. Completing or assisting the audit director in developing the risk-based audit plan. Includes identifying auditable entities and assessing risk within the auditable entities; determining appropriate audit cycles and audit strategy; and determining necessary audit resources and estimated expenses associated with completion of a forward looking 12-18 month audit plan. Also includes performing continuous monitoring activities (working closely with senior management and risk management) and adjusting the audit plan when appropriate. 3. Preparing and reviewing board, committee, and other stakeholder reporting for completeness, consistency with other internal audit materials, and accuracy of the most up-to-date information, not limited to information internal audit is reporting. 4. Interacting regularly with business line and risk management leaders, regulators, and external subject matter experts. Participating regularly, networking, and showing leadership within industry peer groups. Participating and presenting as needed at executive and senior management operating committee meetings. 5. Collaborating across the three lines of defense regarding business processes, risks, and controls.
