The Senior Regulatory Operations Associate will be responsible for functional activities related to US and global regulatory submissions as well as clinical and compliance documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Support submission activities associated with generating electronic submissions

  • Responsible for compiling and coordinating submission activities, including MS Word document formatting, converting documents to PDF in compliance with the FDA guidelines, and scanning documents (Electronic publishing is currently done by our vendor.)

  • Maintain proficiency and expertise with the tools and processes associated with electronic regulatory submissions (e.g., Toolbox, Acrobat Pro)

  • Contribute to submission planning in order to identify pending submissions and to define priorities

  • Anticipate upcoming tasks based on the timeline of submission filing dates

  • Perform quality control checks and coordinate fixes with publishers:

  • Regulatory source documents generated by Regulatory Affairs, Clinical, and Nonclinical departments to ensure compliance with relevant content and format guidelines

  • Published PDF output files

  • Support authors to complete regulatory documents such that all components are provided and presented in the correct format

  • Assist and/or train others on tools used to support publishing efforts

  • Maintain Regulatory Affairs on-site and off-site archive storage (paper and electronic)

  • Assists with other projects to support the regulatory departments as assigned

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in life sciences or a related discipline

  • Minimum of three years of direct experience in a Regulatory Operations function, including experience with electronic submissions and the publishing processes

  • A minimum of three years of related experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry and/or a combination of experience and education/training

  • Working knowledge of FDA electronic submission regulations

  • Software proficiency: Windows, MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, MS Excel), Endnote, SharePoint authoring templates, Adobe Acrobat, and Toolbox.

  • Working knowledge of other software required: eCTD viewing and validation software (Rosetta Phoenix), electronic publishing, , SharePoint (QUMAS), ACUTA ARIM, Veeva Vault.

  • Very detail oriented; well organized; quick learner

  • Experience with formatting Word documents against a corporate style guide a plus

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize when working on multiple projects, and deliver on tight timelines within a fast-paced team environment; resourceful, service oriented and an effective team player

  • Flexible in handling changing priorities

  • Effective/productive working with minimal supervision

Under the direction of the Director of Quality Systems and Compliance, the Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager is responsible for the successful management and daily operations of the Regulatory Affairs department. This position will interface with Tosoh Bioscience Japan and with other TBI departments to coordinate plans, and assure efficient operations to meet all applicable regulatory requirements including 21 CFR Part 820, Quality System Regulation, 21 CFR Part 803, Medical Device Reporting, 21 CFR Part 806, Corrections and Removals, ISO 13485, Quality Systems Regulation, Health Canada Regulations and Requirements and Latin American Regulations and Requirements. This position will be responsible for managing and participating in the review of performance data, writing pre-submission communications to FDA, preparation of protocols, and e-Submissions for 510(k) and PMA products. Additionally, this position will be responsible for managing registrations for Latin America and Canada. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Manage or prepare pre-submission correspondence with the FDA to determine that all protocols and data collection meet the agency's needs. * Manage or review performance data provided by Tosoh Bioscience Japan's (TBJ) R&D as necessary to determine completeness and accuracy prior to submission. * Manage or prepare e-Submissions with completed documentation and all appropriate forms for new products. * After new analyte clearance, prepare documents for CLIA categorization. * As necessary, prepare Letters to the File for corrections, new instrument launches, etc. * Conduct labeling and label reviews, when required. * Participate in design transfer when required. * Collaborate and coordinate with marketing to determine future submission requirements and develop regulatory plans. * Prepare and manage all regulatory documents for International (Latin America and Canada) registrations and tenders on a timely basis * Maintain current registration documentation and ensure that all are up-to-date. * Interface with Product Management to determine new product availability from TBJ * Maintain the proper logs, contacts, and processes for authentication for registration documents * Participate in Management Reviews. * Communicate with FDA and International ministry of health officials including Canada and Latin America as required. * Work with executive management and marketing to develop regulatory plans and strategies and ensure timely submissions (510(k), PMA etc.) * Develop and deploy ISO registration and surveillance strategy with Notified Bodies. * Lead, direct, coordinate and maintain the process for creation and maintenance of product design dossier/technical files. * Maintain an up-to-date knowledge in applicable domestic and international regulations and standards, as well as, company products and process technologies. QUALIFICATIONS: * Understanding of basic immunochemistry and HPLC chemistry. * Experience in preparation of submission documents including eSub preparation of 510(k), PMAs is a must. * Experience in clinical trial processes is desirable. * Sound knowledge of statistics and regulatory standards that apply to submissions * S. degree in biology or chemistry or health sciences, M.S.
