Purpose and Scope:

Registers inpatient and outpatient surgery patients. Takes surgical postings from physician offices and completes the Operating Room Schedule.

Obtains release of patients who have expired. Assists in ordering supplies, correcting patient charge plates and provides copy of admitting patient registrations to residents. Responsible for the assignment of beds for all incoming patients, electives and emergency. Also responsible for assignment of beds for patients transferred from ICU and from one floor to another.

This employee will be able to: follow written and oral instructions, maintain a high level of confidentiality; possess the ability to make independent decisions, and have broad knowledge of Hospital's/Division's philosophies, policies, procedures; deal tactfully and pleasantly with co-workers, visitors and patients, works harmoniously with co-workers, and maintains a high level of "hospitality" in compliance with the Guest Relations policy.

I. Position Requirements:

A. Education: High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

B. Experience: Previous hospital admitting experience (1-2 years) preferred.

Hotel/motel experience helpful. Typing required, experience with CRT desirable.

IDS is building a winning team to support the Electrical Safety Assessments, Repairs Program, Materials Management, and Control Services for U.S. Forces – Afghanistan (USFOR-A) Task Force POWER contract. . This contract provides for the inspection, update and repair of electrical Life, Health, Safety (LHS) hazards for low voltage electrical power systems. The work will take place at existing US Military and coalition occupied facilities within Afghanistan. Position is contingent upon award. Responsibilities: * Develops, maintains, and evolves the quality control program tailored to this specific contract. * Acts as the principal point of contact, regarding quality control activities to the U.S. Government and IDS Corporate. * Coordinates with the project leadership team on the creation of policies, procedures and work instructions. * Schedules and conducts internal oversight or audits, proactively identifing areas requiring corrective actions and provides recommendations to the project leadership team for solutions. Recognizes proper compliance with policies and proceedures to provide positive feedback on field activities. * Implements and administers a customer feedback program (e.g. comment cards, surveys) * Tracks corrective action milestones and deliverables. * Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel. * Maintains detailed records of all quality control program related actions. * Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations as needed. Required Qualifications: * Minimum of three (3) years experience of directly related electrical work. * Proven track record of achieving high-levels of customer satisfaction. * Directly related experience with industry standard quality control concepts, practices and procedures. * Documented experience of innovation and creative problem solving. * Experience working in Afghanistan/austere environments is preferred.
