The position: The Sr. Regional HR Manager is responsible for helping create and execute HR Strategy throughout their respective regions. A Sr. Regional Manager is responsible for driving people related metric which can include retention, turnover, performance management, and people development. This role is also responsible for recruitment, training, development, and supervision of Regional HR Manager and/or HR Generalist.
Acts as a trusted HR Advisor to senior business leaders, builds business relationships and provides coaching, consultation, and guidance in all areas of the employee lifecycle. This includes talent acquisition, leadership development, performance management, retention strategies, employee engagement and succession planning.
Responsibilities
Supervise and instruct HR direct reports
Ensure HR organization objectives and goals are being executed
Develops and administer various human resources strategy across their regions. Facilitates change management and helps leaders align on strategy, communications, and behavior.
Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
Develops, recommends, and implements policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures;
Manage the process for resolving employee matters, grievances, conflict resolution, and investigations, ensuring adherence to ethics and compliance policies, regulations, and employment laws
Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
Conducts new employee orientations, monitors career progression, and conducts exit interviews.
Recommends innovative approaches, policies, and procedures to improve the efficiency of department and HR processes.
Serves as a business partner to regional operations leaders; including presenting HR objectives, information, initiatives, and updates.
Identify performance trends, analyze turnover and retention patterns, mitigate ER risks, manage EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) claims, provide professional development, seminars, and coaching.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams (payroll, benefits, compensation, engagement, operations, facilities, risk management and legal).
Support onsite operational leadership through property visits.
Establish strategic partnerships with regional leaders to manage annual performance reviews, associate bonuses, and merit discussions.
Partners with regional leadership to manage Employee Engagement Survey Action Plan Follow up
Collaborates with Learning and Development to serve as subject matter experts for training material.
And any other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university. Master's Degree Preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, UKG or other HRIS, and other systems as needed.
HR Certification preferred
10-12 years of progressive HR management experience required.
8 years of employee relations preferred
