We are seeking a Senior Regional Business Development and Strategy Director to join our team in New York City, NY. This position will be responsible for delivering growth across the northeast region (NY/NJ/PA), including Philadelphia and New York, by connecting strategies, solutions and offerings unique to our clients. The position will be based out of our New York City office and requires frequent travel across the region. This role will work across our business, in close collaboration with:

  • Cities Market Lead

  • Region and Cities Executive

  • Business Development and Strategy (BD&S) team

  • Technical Practice Organization (TPO) Leadership

  • Business Units (BU's) Leadership

  • Other Cities Program Leads

  • Innovation and Digital leads

  • Culture and Social Impact Lead

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned veteran or an ambitious self-starter to be a key contributor to growth and expansion of our operations in Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey. You will be a key face of the company, brand ambassador, and lead for strategic growth and expansion of our full infrastructure services throughout the region focused on public sector clients including cities and counties, state departments of transportation, tolling agencies, airports, ports, water authorities, rail and transit, and federal agencies. You will also drive our continued growth in the region focused on targeted clients in the power, industrial, and healthcare markets.

How will you contribute to the team?

  • Responsible for growth supporting and collaborating with company leadership to develop and execute a strategic and tactical business plan for the region.

  • Establishes, nurtures and grows client relationships and serves as client manager for select clients.

  • Identifies, leads and participates in key pursuits and teaming strategies.

  • Represent and promote the company at networking events, professional and industry associations, society meetings, conferences, and tradeshows.

  • Actively participate on social media channels

  • Assist with organic growth by identifying and recruiting strategic hires to win and deliver work in the region.

  • Possess broad market awareness and provides market and competitive analysis.

What will you contribute?

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, science, construction or engineering or related field or 15+ years of experience in lieu of degree.

  • 10+ years of business development in the AEC industry.

  • Broad knowledge of clients and infrastructure markets in the region.

  • Knowledge of and relationships with local governments and private sector entities and the consulting community in the market.

  • Self-starter requiring limited oversight.

  • Strategic thinker but focused on tactical execution.

  • Effective team building and collaboration skills with ability to thrive in a highly collaborative team environment.

  • Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Knowledge and experience in the pursuit of alternative delivery opportunities including design-build; CMAR; and P3s.

  • Existing relationships with other consulting firms and contractors to facilitate teaming.

  • Affiliations with professional societies and active industry and community involvement..

Expected compensation range is between $137,000 - $229,000 depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.

Upon acceptance of an offer, all candidates must go through a drug screen test and background check. AtkinsRéalis is a federal contractor which mandates a satisfactory background screening report and drug test that supersedes state laws.
