The Senior Recruiter is responsible for filling open positions within the Firm. This includes posting and advertising open positions, screening applicants, interviewing and testing, arranging second interviews with hiring department, processing new hires into the system, and maintaining all applications and applicant flow records according to DOL regulations and Firm's policy and procedures. This position works to ensure progress toward diversity goals are met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Format and manage the internal posting system, ensuring that every position is communicated internally.
Communicate position information to external sources of job seekers, managing costs to stay within departmental recruitment budget.
Develop new recruiting initiatives through vendor agreements, job fairs, and applicant sourcing research and communication.
Screens resumes to determine the most qualified candidates, and schedules first and second interviews with candidates.
Interview applicants and administer pre-employment testing. Score and record results. Evaluate and screen candidates to determine eligibility for position(s).
Process background checks by requesting information from law enforcement agencies, previous employers and other references to determine employment acceptability. Communicates the results with those candidates not selected.
Make verbal and written job offer to final candidate. Resolve any final details and answer any remaining questions they may have. Provide benefit summary information for their consideration.
Schedule start date for the new hires; process their forms and paperwork; enter their information into the computer system. Communicate certain information to other departments
Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field required.
5+ years' related experience in recruiting required.
Advanced knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
Advanced knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Proven ability to demonstrate professionalism, integrity, maturity, intellectual curiosity, initiative, and good judgment; takes pride of ownership for wins and accountability for losses/mistakes.
Ability to teach/mentor other recruiting team members.
Strong ability to manage one's own time, projects, and deadlines to ensure the timely completion of all work.
Advanced logic and reasoning skills to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
