This position is key to the executive staffing & talent development team. The Senior Lead Recruiter works closely w/ the Director, the Learning & Organizational Development team, &/or other key & strategic human resource functions to assure that the program attracts, cultivates, & identifies top talent/candidates for key leadership opportunities throughout the National Program (i.e., Program Offices, Regions & Service Areas, etc.). This will include developing searches & staffing strategies, i.e., search/staffing plans, creating leadership job profiles w/ executives, identifying diverse internal & external talent pools, developing industry & candidate/talent research & scouting documents, performing cold calls, collecting competitive intelligence data & identifying appropriate search mediums to support executive staffing; all phases of recruitment, selection, assessment, & client management.

Under direction of Director, ES & the Manager of Leadership Development, the Senior Lead Recruiter will also be an active participant in helping to champion initiatives regarding our "experience management" & "leadership diversity" initiatives to support the Leadership Development & National Diversity priorities & agendas. This may include developing tools & templates & providing an array of consulting services under the direction of senior team Directors. The Senior Lead Recruiter is also responsible for overall "hands-on" management of staffing for a business function. As a working recruitment professional, plan & implement all activities relating to staffing strategy, sourcing, recruiting, candidate development, selection, & hiring for all levels of candidates for the organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Contributes to the effective matching of leadership talent (internal & external) w/ positions by consulting w/ Senior Executives on defining position requirements, leadership competencies & experience management of potential talent required to achieve high levels of performance.
  • The Senior Lead Recruiter will manage a significant "book of business" which will include multiple search assignments & all aspects of client management, & which will be supported, when appropriate, by other members of the team.
  • Serve in a lead role to other staff in the absence of Director, as well as provide guidance, direction & model positive & professional behaviors to support client management, service issues & staff development.
  • Conducts screening & interviews w/ executive & leader level talent utilizing leadership interviewing & assessment tools (i.e. behavioral interview techniques, competency assessments, talent review data, etc.).
  • In conjunction w/ staffing team (i.e. Consultant(s) & Senior Associate, Executive Staffing), responsible for managing key research, sourcing & talent scouting assignments for open positions & other staffing projects.
  • Develops & administers organization-wide service/client satisfaction surveys to collect meaningful data & develops necessary analysis & executive summary reports.

Requirements



Basic Qualifications:

Experience
  • Minimum seven (7) years of success-oriented recruitment experience to include minimum five (5) years in either technical and/or specialty recruitment (executive recruitment).
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as human resources, OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field required.
Additional

Requirements:
  • Must have in-house corporate recruitment experience to include participating as a key member of a strategic staffing effort within a large global company with a reputation for their people acquisition capability and excellence in customer service.
  • Proven ability to work independently with all levels of senior management, physicians and staff in a consultant and facilitator role.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access). Lotus Notes.
  • Electronic Applicant tracking systems (i.e. Icarian, BrassRing, etc.). Expert knowledge in the area of internet search tools and techniques.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a range of personalities and styles, to establish effective relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Strong knowledge with state-of-the-art search and recruiting methodology. Utilize considerable expertise in interviewing methodology and high-touch customer-focused recruiting processes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of governmental regulations, professional standards and practices related to EEO/AA; legalities and ethics of recruitment.
  • Utilize considerable expertise in interviewing methodology and customer-focused recruiting processes.
  • Strong change management skills, and be able to create and execute a wide range of recruiting initiatives, as well as implement new systems and technologies to identify the best talent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing executive and leader candidate talent working in a search or research firm placing middle or senior management talent is highly desirable.
  • Master's degree with emphasis in human resources, OR two (2) years of directly related field experience preferred.
