Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned audio professional to join us in New York. In this role you will bring sound to life within multimedia projects to create and promote engaging content such as; exclusive music and live performances, hosted stations, artist and internal interviews, and social media. In addition to managing our in-office recording studio, you will work with our on-site content team on projects for location sound and post production. The content created drives new users to Pandora, as well as expanding listening experiences for our existing users.

We are looking for someone who can overcome creative obstacles in a deadline driven environment while remaining pleasant, focused and inventive.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage in-office recording studio

  • Work with on-site content team for artist visits and various production needs

  • Edit, mix and master music recordings (when applicable)

  • Organize, archive and manage assets; transferring to client/artist/etc...

  • Attend to client/artists needs and adjust to new project specifications and deadlines

  • Proactively analyze and resolve studio technical issues

  • Provide suggestions and implement new gear and technical studio improvements

  • Repair, design, develop and finalize various audio deliverables

  • Sound design, music composition, edit, mix and finalize audio for video, station and promotional content

  • Provide voice casting solutions utilizing Pandora's internal VO Roster and external resources

  • Contribute creative solutions from capture to post

  • Independently attend to production schedules and project deadlines

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in recording studio environment, with emphasis on music and dialogue

  • 2+ years experience in post audio, with emphasis on music and dialogue

  • Expert knowledge of editing, mixing and optimizing audio within DAWs including Logic and Pro Tools

  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized, with experience working on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to take direction and adjust and improve upon feedback

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Flexible and adaptable to new workflows

  • Friendly manner with clients, artists and colleagues

You will be responsible for all aspects of the mobile web experience, from creating high-level user flows to detailed wireframes with annotation. The Senior UX Designer will create end-to-end designs for the Footlocker Inc. digital experience. They will be building engaging user experiences for responsive websites with clear understanding of mobile first approach; as well as mobile apps with incorporation of native interactions and functionality. You should have a track record of building engaging user experiences for responsive web sites, with a clear understanding of what it means to be mobile first.The ideal candidate will have experience across many user-centered design disciplines and is highly knowledgeable about the latest interaction and design standards. * Develop sound UX concepts, including the definition of customer needs, task analysis, and the creation of personas, scenarios and use cases. * Translate user needs and product requirements into conceptual diagrams, user flows, sketches, wireframes, and prototypes * Deliver effective documentation and communication of design – via journey mapping, ecosystem, and high-quality wireframes with detailed annotation. * Collaborate with UI designers to create user-centered designs * Work with product owner to understand business needs and product requirements * Collaborate, support (interactive prototypes) and participate (interview/ note taking) in UX research to learn, analyze and synthesize customer's pain points * Translate and implement research findings into UX design. * Collaborate with UX team members, product owners, developers to identify potential solutions and constraints to design and implement product features. * Mentor junior UX designers on design process, techniques, and solutions. * BS Degree in Interaction Design, HCI or similar fields. * Masters Degree is a plus. * Minimum of five years experience in UX design for consumer-facing Internet company. * E-commerce experience preferred. * Experience with responsive web and mobile app design. * Experience solving complex UX challenges, creating user journey, task flows, and annotated wireframes. * Experience in creating interactive prototypes to support A/B testing or usability testings. * Ability to prioritize and manage work in a fast-paced, agile environment. * Experience working cross functionally in a collaborate environment with UX researchers, product managers, engineers, writers and other designers. * Empathetic and inquisitive, with a positive attitude and openness to collaboration. * Communicates effectively across all levels of the organization, from engineering to management. * Experience with responsive web and mobile app design. * Strong problem solving and communication skills. * Experience in usability testing and customer research experience is a huge plus. * Experience with analytical tools and A|B testing methodologies is a plus. * Advanced knowledge of Sketch, Adobe CS, Axure, or similar tools.
