Overview

We are seeking a senior quantitative analyst within the Model and Allowance Analysis team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of credit risk models for the purpose of CECL-design, development, testing, documentation, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.

  • Provide modeling expertise to build and improve quantitative models for various projects such as loss rate, PD, LGD, EAD models.

  • Conduct independent research to effectively challenge the model's conceptual soundness, assumptions, and appropriateness of model methodology.

  • Compile, analyze, and resolve data errors/inconsistencies from various financial reporting systems.

  • Collaborate with business groups to develop effective modeling approaches to accurately represent the risks for practical business use.

  • Identify and address potential process gaps related to model development and in-use.

  • Carry out regular model performance monitoring and produce comprehensive monitoring reports.

  • Support ad hoc analytical projects.

  • Provide written or verbal communication to internal and external stakeholders conveying the results of research and analysis.

  • Provide thought leadership on modelling techniques and methodologies. Assist in mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or other quantitative disciplines.

  • Comprehensive practical knowledge of quantitative forecasting models, financial analysis techniques and methodologies.

  • Strong understanding of stress testing, credit risk, financial risk, and their processes.

  • Excellent team player with proven ability to work independently in a collaborative setting within a dynamic work environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate complex analytical issues in understandable terms appropriate for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proficiency with R or similar statistical programming languages. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

  • 8+ years of relevant working experience preferred.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $120,000.00/Yr. - USD $180,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
